No, they technically don't have a gun owner list. If you were caught using one, carrying one, etc... you would add a firearm conviction to your prior.

I honestly don't know how that works. You can transfer ownership to a relative. Im guessing you have to turn them in once convicted if you don't transfer them once convicted. G. Gordon Liddy was once asked if he had any guns. He replied that since he was convicted during watergate he couldn't own one but his wife had an extensive firearm collection.

Unless you live in a state that requires registration (not sure if there are any) it just boils down to not being able to legally purchase and not being found with one in your possession.

Rent one for fun. Don't bother buying one.

I'm right handed, I was told yesterday that I should be practicing with my left hand. Thoughts? Are you guys ambidextrous with your shooting?

Yes but its going to be very rare you'll need to. 1% chance you ever need it, and then what are the chances your right hand will be unable to use? Opposing hand is good if your strong arm is out of commission, you are clearing a house going around corners, etc. If you're being mugged, probably not. If yor house is invaded I'd say no also. You'd want to leave or hunker down and call 911, not clear the house.

Yes, but you need to get VERY comfortable with a stable shooting grip, stance, etc... before working on off hand shooting, one handed reloads, one hand shooting....

There is a reason you don't teach kids how to write cursive as soon as they can form letters. Once they build up some proficiency with controlling the pen, they can learn advanced writing techniques. Same goes for gun handling and shooting.

Weak hand drawing/shooting/loading etc is certainly a skill that's worth learning and practicing.

I didn't find it hugely difficult to do back when we were allowed to shoot pistols, but, I can't hit shit with a rifle using weak shoulder though so I dread it when our RO gives us a weak shoulder course of fire in competition, like he did last weekend

And the practice time you do for off hand you wpuld have done improving your strong hand. Master strong hand first. Better to be really good one hand than passable both hands.

Something of note; your shoulders be above or just forward of your hips (in your two videos it appears they are behind your hips). You'll notice more control and more consistent Point of Impact (POI) of your rounds.

Nope. Fuck him. He showed up all cocky talking about he bought a glock 19 last month and he doesn't precision shoot to practice. He goes to the range for 15 minutes and just shoots to shoot. Not to hit the center of the target. That didn't make any sense to me. He's never cleaned his gun in a month.

Aren't you supposed to clean your gun every time you shoot? I spent 30 minutes yesterday learning to disassemble, clean, and reassemble my gun.

I left for the stables early.

I had a MUCH better time with this boy pictured below than Bjorn

We have a new girl in our group today who also has gun. She and I are going to go shoot together. I believe it's better to shoot with a friend so they can critique you. Don't you think?

Wait, forward from my hips? I need more detail. I don't understand. I ride horses, we always ride with perfect posture, shoulders back, for the utmost balance. I'm confused to why my balance needs to be forward to shoot instead of being centered.

He means dont lean back. Lean forward slightly. Leaning back puts you off balance.the gun kicks you backward so you want to compensate for faster more stable follow up shots.

Yes, so long as one of you are experienced enough to recognize proper and improper form, procedure, etc...

You don't have to clean you gun every time you use it. (even though i used to and still sometimes do) A guy at my local range used a glock without cleaning it to see how many rounds it would take before malfunction. After 12k rounds, he stopped counting. Still has never been cleaned.

Posture for riding a horse is different than riding a road bike which is different from riding a mtn bike. Being centered while shooting is imperative, but you need to be centered over you feet with your butt slightly back. Go back and watch those videos i posted for you.
