Thanks man. Yeah, landscaping/planting is something I enjoy doing so it's really a labor of love. Drought times suck but you gotta roll with the punches

Definitely one thing I wish we hadn't cut corners on when we had our landscaping done is not putting in a sprinkler system...don't want to tear the whole yard up now to do so.

As a Covid project, my husband and I finished part of our basement. We now have theater area, workout area, pool table, and storage (pantry and wine).
We did most of the work ourselves except the sheetrock, paint and carpet install. We still have to finish off the trim work.

I will say that it has been priceless for my 5 year old. The way things have appreciated in my market, I'm fine with it. We only live once and not moving for a bit so what the heck. Enjoy yours as well!!! Post pics!

The 2x4s I bought a few months back for like $4 and change were now almost $8 when I went to buy some wood yesterday!

Anyways was going to make some storage for the basement, but with these prices just made a small side table for my recliner instead.

Might put another coat of stain then some poly or something on the top. Or might not do shit.

any tips on finding correct grout to match the existing grout?

short story, the sink waste line running under concrete slab needs to be replaced.
this mean jacking up the floor, its so upsetting because its new floor. Locating the floor tile company was difficult, because its not available thru local stores.

Fixing toilets leak is like a full time job for me.
Flapper, adjust the ball, valves, rubbers, etc.
Three toilets in the house taking turn for attention.
To do a house project, I have to wait until retirement.
I can not handle the stress at work and home on the same time.
A bimmer project car is maybe in another life time for me.

So we are thinking of renovating our bottom
Floor. Over all goal is to reappraise at the end, build a lot of equity, take out a home equity loan, and modify our single car into a double with a FROG. Attached are my built in ideas for the office and our dining space. Still debating on the office, but definitely like our idea for the dining space/butlers pantry. Everything is essentially to scale and utilizes standard cabinet sizes. Plan is to do all of the work ourselves. Feeling confident, but it will be busy. Still have to create drawings for the kitchen, walk-in areas, and main living room. Definitely excited though, thank you tax return!! Lol

Wine and beer should be separate. Beer is served colder than wine and storage interior differs. Usually wine is on its own at then you have have a separate beverage center for beer, soda, water, etc. Looks like a nice project. Good luck!

Good catch, it'll probably be wine because she often gets her way haha. I could do two fridges side by side as the dimensions work out, but I think we would rather a cabinet for increased storage. Trying to think of everything from a resale view point. Plan to start estimating all associated materials next.

I have seen dual zone (white/red) wine fridges. Maybe there is something like that for wine / beverages.

That looks like it should work!

It’s good that it’s front vented so it will work in a built in but FYI they usually require some clearance on top and sides and if it ever needs to be replaced, always good to have some wiggle room. Our’s is designed with space around it, and then there is a board that is cut out to fit around the top and sides (stained to match rest of wall unit) to avoid having a visible gap. We actually had to trim it when we replaced the original wine fridge.

I went with single zone as all the dual zones were designed for bottles to lay down and useless for cans. The drawer above the fridge holds a dozen bottles of red.
