^^^Nice.

We have a huge windfarm a couple hours north of here. I've been wanting to get up there in good weather to get some UWA shots. Something slow enough to show blade motion.

I'll have to go there next year. Didn't know it existed but I always admired the rock face right around there. Like Half Dome at sea level.

The Raven

400mm f5.6 1/500s ISO 800

The bokeh is a little bit busier than I'd hoped it would be, but the lens is sharp enough. This was shot through somewhat dirty windows from inside my house.

Gotta get wet and cold. The glass doesn't work. Ravens in light like this need about +2EV to bring out their details.

little wing

Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind.

When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free
It's alright she says it's alright
Take anything you want from me,
anything.

Fly on little wing,
Yeah yeah, yeah, little wing

Mark,
You need to install Canons double pane windows. You have to get a lot closer with the F5.6 to get the bokeh you want. I shoot my hummingbirds at around mfd.

SwnSng,
very good insects with lovely light on them.

Thanks Weebl! It's my favorite time of the year and I still haven't shot anything! Planning a trip this weekend to the LA Arboretum and LA ZOO. Sat and Sunday respectively.

After talking to my friend about it, apparently "the Cheif" or that dome next to it as you were saying, the hiking trail goes right by the river at the top. So there's supposed to be some great views of the falls from up there as well.

There's supposed to be lots of big falls along the way to Whistler along there, I might do a day trip and stop at every one if I get a nice day with nothing planned.

Definitely stop at Shannon falls though, it's almost literally a 2 minute walk off the highway. Barely enough time to run out of wind with how out of shape I am

Nice shot, Denn. Right near the Ballfields Cafe? Or is that Rat Rock?

That building's been slow going up. This was June of last year.
