This is Onslow & Maggie. Maggie's mom got a Fulbright scholarship to go to Finland, so we get to keep Maggie for six months!

Also, do the more experienced dog owners think his eye will be alright? We got some puppy shampoo in it when I placed him in the tub. It was red. |

If it doesn’t clear up in a day or so you can think about the vet but unless scratched should be ok. Issue could arise if he scratches the eye because it bothers him but he probably won’t if he hasn’t shown signs of being bothered already. Puppy shampoo should avoid irritation. FYI my wife always puts GenTeal Tears in our dogs’ eyes when they get a bath to help avoid irritation.

Can I ask those in the know something? Found a small growth towards end of one of our dogs’ tail. Asked my brother who usually bathes them and was told it’s been there for a long time (at least a year or few year). Looking online it seems to say that if it’s slow growth it’s most likely not dangerous. Also called vet and told the same thing. Of course it’s best to do needle test to be sure but from what it sounds like it is not cancerous. Can anyone chime in? I prefer not to spend $300 if it’s not needed but will if I should. Wanted to get some opinions here.

He really doesn't seem phased atm, but I noticed it was red and he was blinking a bit before his nap. He's been sleeping for like 2 hours straight, so I assume all is well. I'm thinking if it was bothering him he'd probably be agitated and not sleeping? And thats a great idea with eye drops! Will give it a shot. |

You’ve gotten shampoo in your own eyes over the years, you’re ok right?
Dog shampoo in very mild cause dogs get it their eyes because they don’t understand to keep them closed. Hope you rinsed it well, your pup will be fine.

Gah seeing these pet pics only made me want to get a pet more than ever.
I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can acquire a munchkin cat in San Diego area? |

Call around to the shelters. Specialty breeds may be in demand, but they also have high vet bills, so sometimes harder to adopt out; plus you can get on their list for when one comes in. And you might even see another that you'd want to adopt, even if not a munchkin. If you get a tortie, make sure they throw in free psychiatric care, and at least a quart of betadine .
