Loving the proportions on this thing—more classic BMW styling cues IMO.
It's not a car I'd ever consider due to price, weight, and modernity but it's nice to see an M car looking the business.

In these pics the rear fender extensions looked tacked on and unintegrated into contours of the arches and don't quite flow out of the preceding panel. Presumably they might improve that for the final article. But as it stands, they don't seem that exceptional. Then again, I'd be happy to leave the histrionic widening to the RS6 folks, leaving the M5 to do the unsurpassed job of being the understated-leviathan that it's always done with such aplomb.
