What BMW's have you owned?

My first BMW was a 2013 135i Coupe w/ the DCT, fully loaded etc. Le Mans Blue w/ Oyster leather interior.

Then a 2015 M3 Manual, well optioned, Yas Marina Blue w/ Silverstone interior.

Now a 2022 M3 Comp, Dravit Gray w/ Fiona Red interior, CF buckets etc etc.

Wife's first BMW was a 2017 X3 in I believe it was mineral gray or similar, don't remember. Boring black interior.

Next was a 2018 430i Coupe, Snapper rocks blue w/ black interior.

Now current is the new 2022 M240i xDrive Coupe in Purple w/ Full oyster leather interior, all the goodies etc.

Any chance for seeing some pics of the current M240i and 2022 G80?

97 M3 coupe. 5 speed. lux package. m contour wheels. had a cosmos intake on it. even added some angel eyes myself. lol back then mods were so janky. you open the headlights yourself and clip on the angel eye. they'd always break or come loose. sold it for:

2004 M3. imola on imola 6 speed. awesome car. everything was great about it, except the noise. very buzz saw / raspy. sold it for a GTR

then i was able to afford a daily while i had the GTR. Had a FRS first, which was trash on highway cruising. sold it and got an f30

2013 335i m sport. estoril blue, zf8 speed. it was ok. my first non M bmw and it was pretty boring. ZF 8 speed sucks and has poor logic so i'd just leave in auto. good on the highway. but there were lots of creaks / rattles. boring to drive fast, no LSD in a rwd car just feels strange when cornering aggressively. sold it for an f80

2015 M3. 6 speed. In every way it was better than the f30. no creaks/rattles. never caused me any issues. very impressive handling and front end grip. did a few cosmetic mods and bm3 tune. unfortunately the power plant is just boring. its fun when im doing 3x the speed limit on a back road, but normal every day stuff its painfully boring imo. sold it a few months ago after 3 years.

not sure whats next. but definitely will be NA. maybe an e92 m3.

Ya, that's over the course of 15 years though. White one was the M550 on aftermarket rims and all of the gray/chrome parts swapped out for black. DMG is the current.

The M550 was a lot of fun, but I decided to get rid of it before a one year deployment with the intent of getting an M5 upon return.

Wow! Impressive but it is what it is! You know what and how to deal with! I would love to see some pictures of the cars? Any chance of getting those? And the E92 M3 would be awesome choice that V8 roar

Great! So you had two first cars on white, move to grey and last two - the F80 and the F82 darker - just the way things are or color choice was essential for your move? Thanks for sharing!

2023 M240...Waiting for allocation. Probably very late year delivery.

After Motorcycles discovered this machine.

Kinda in my blood now I guess.

Thanks! There are things I'll want to do to the M5, but for now, I'll just be happy getting the car back and enjoying it. I have no doubt I'll go down the road of aftermarket exhaust, maybe CS spoiler, potential lowering with spacers, etc...all in time.

I'm in Hawaii. I really wanted to get into another M car but it had to be manual. Slim pickings out here and it was one of those right place right time. So I made due with the color. I like the MW, but not my first choice in colors. My next car won't be white, that's a guarantee haha.

I'll tell you which one was my least favorite: the 6-series GC.

I thought it would be a good idea to get one of these for my wife. She hated it. Didn't drive it but a handful of times. Front seats were uncomfortable and too low. Rear seats were useless for car seats and even less comfortable than the front seats. Drove like a boat.

I sometimes forget we ever had it. Hardly took any photos of it either. After a few years, she replaced it with an M2C.

damn that's a shame to read. i think the 6GC is a maybe the best looking sedan on the road. i dont think i could convince my wife to give up an SUV, but if i was going to push hard for an alternative it would have been the 6GC.
