pre-2000 trance was great. this is what got me into electronic music, but the flood of cheesy candy raver shit after that makes my ears bleed.

I've been getting more into house lately, perhaps I am just getting older.

I did go to see Tiesto in Hartford last year and he put on a good show however this year the prices are just stupid. I will never pay $60 to see any DJ, especially when you factor in $10 drinks and the cost to get there.

We went last week to see Switch at the Hayden Planetarium at the MMOMA in NYC last week. Great show in a unique venue. http://flavorpill.com/museum-series/one-step-beyond They are putting a couple more on before the end in the next month.

Tiesto is a fantastic DJ but SUCKS as a producer. So many better underrated producers out there, who deserve the credit much more than he does. See above tracks I posted.

Dude! I went to WMC in Miami 2 years ago with my ex-girlfriend (first mistake), who begged me to go and see 7 HOUR Tiesto set at Mansion and i agreed (second mistake). $80 admission times 2 plus $18 drinks! I seriously wanted to shoot myself and gouge my eyes out with a spork!

I got me a set of Etymotics earplugs too, I learned my lesson.

Damn $18 drinks, you guys got raped. I thought $10 for plastic cup drinks was crazy. It is Miami though, they charge up the ass for everything, must be for the privilege of being there.

Didn't the WMC event give you access to the other shows? I would have went to Tiesto for a few minutes to see if he played any classics then moved on. Don't know if I could do 7hrs.

The longest I've done is 7hrs with AVB in NYC a couple years back and I can't do that stuff any more, I'm too old now.

My friend who is 21 just told us about a house DJ coming to NYC, supposedly a 10hr set... I just don't get it.
