I usually make it on the stove, never tried the microwave version before. I try to add more ingredients to it to make it less generic lol.

We had a food truck visit. Im trying to behave so I got a peanut butter, bacon burger with spicy jam on it and a grilled cheese with mozzarella, tomato and pesto.
I ate 1/2 of each and gave the other halves to my employee. So, I didn't feel guilty for eating both and I felt happy for giving him a snack. WIN....WIN |

I scored one of Burger King's new chicken sandwiches for lunch today. It had a *lot* in common with the cult-favorite Popeyes chicken sandwich, which is probably not a major surprise since both are owned by the same parent company (along with Tim Horton's). There seemed to be one spice missing from the BK option that's prominent in the Popeyes version, and the BK sandwich was severely over-salted for someone on a low-sodium diet. Close enough though, especially with a trip to the nearest Popeyes here being 15 miles each way and requiring a trip to the home armory to pull out my traveling companion. I will definitely go back for more once they do the official national launch in a few weeks.....

What about the KFC chicken sandwich? Have you tried that? I haven't heard it yet. I wasn't overly impressed with Popeyes

Its pretty meh. I liked Popeyes although not as much as Chick-fil-a. KFC's is very similar to Popeye's meat and coating, but the chicken was dry in comparison, very disappointed. Overall, CFA is still the king, and McDonalds and KFC have been pretty disappointing.

I've been to Chit-Fil-A twice, both times on road trips since we do not have any in our region. The meat itself was good, but the flavor of the breading was bland. I've been told that it was because I didn't ask for the condiment packets to season it. Why should I have to? Plus, they (and Five Guys french fries) use peanut oil, which is not an allergen but adds a slight taste that I don't like. I don't understand why there are lines out into the street waiting to get into their stores, because I would not go back for a third time.
I've had the KFC sandwich about 4 times, because there's one a few blocks from where I work. It was decent, but not quite Popeyes. I have no reservations about having the KFC sandwich in the future, but wouldn't go out of my way for one. Ironically, the nearest Popeyes here shares a driveway with a KFC. I'll turn into Popeyes every time if I'm going for a chicken sandwich, even though the bums removed string beans from their menu. The new Micky D's chicken sandwich was a disappointment on launch day, and again when I tried it a few weeks later. They are using foil wrappers like the others, but the batter lacked crunch and was more like the dollar menu McChicken than the Popeyes, BK, or KFC offerings. I'll stick with their burgers from now on. For completeness, let me mention that I have never tried the Wendys chicken sandwich. If I'm going there, it is for a burger. I should mention that we stopped a few times at Popeyes (pre-sandwich) when coming home from one particular event site, because it was the marquee restaurant in a service area along the route with no-hassle parking when towing the race car hauler. I did not care much for the spices they used on their fried chicken at the time, and would have gone to KFC for their extra crispy meals every time if I had the option.....
