Nice, I can't get +150 stable. But guess the amount of cuda cores on Ti make up for the lower clock.

Even with my setup 60fps @4k ultra is not always possible. If the game is optimized well it's no problem though.

vbios unlocks voltage and higher clock speeds. Guy on the msi forum seems to be able to give you custom ones.

I'll look into the vbios too. My warranty is already voided on the card with the liquid cooling setup anyway.

Anyone running a 1070 here? What kind of FPS are you getting on ultra. 1080p and 1440p?
MSI just offered me a trade in on my laptop with a 980M. Worth it for they will upgrade me to the kaby lake and 120hz ips panel.
Doesn't make sense to get the 1080 since I have a desktop version already.

If you're a serious gamer, the 120hz panel will make a huge difference. This is especially true for FPS.

Ahh okay. The reason I ask is because I'm in the market for a new gaming panel. I want a curved ultrawide but they're all limited by Displayport 1.2 to 100hz at 1440p.

I have no complaints about this monitor. It was a toss up between this and the Asus ROG. The limited refresh rate doesn't really bother me nor will you be able to tell a difference(subjective I guess). I was looking at the curve too, its really nice. The monitor though is ultra smooth and color clarity is real crisp. I almost threw up the 1st day from the high refresh rate lol. 75hz to 144 was a big jump.

Next step is 4k but imo its still overkill at this point.

Thanks! I was just looking into the Acer and it looks like they have a 120hz 34 inch ultrawide that's going to release in the very near future.

I've read that the high refresh rate 4k panels are limited by the bandwidth of Displayport 1.2 so they're either going to require Displayport 1.4 or two 1.2 connections.

i do need a new monitor though, any recommendations? i don't think 4k is worth the premium right now but at same time not sure if 2k is worth the premium over 1080p...

I have a acer predator 27 in and I absolutely love it. Asus rog monitors are nice as well.

I just traded in/upgraded my laptop. This is why I will forever be a MSI fanboy. As promised they let you upgrade 2 generations up.
My last laptop with a 980M got upgraded to the 1080.

P.S. I also have a desktop build with a MSI gaming X 1080 lol
