Sad new regarding Yao. I think he should really retire soon. Too many injuries.

SMH, yeah. If that were me, I'd put 'Melo in a choke hold until I hear whistle being blown. It must suck being Mavs right now knowing that no one has ever come out from being down 3 games and win a series before. If they win the next game, they go to Denver to lose.

Yao is definitely the backbone...without him Gasol/Bynum will have one hell of a game.

I thought the Cavs/Hawks game was getting good until the lead started building up at the end.

Yeah. He can play for another 10+ years if he wants to, word to Dikembe...lol.

It's unreal how tall that guy is. Every time he shoots a free throw, I swear his eyes are lined with the net.

Yao says he would retire at 30. With injuries to his foot every year it is more likely to happen.

OT, but I've always wonder how Yao is living. I can't see him living luxuriously like other NBA stars.

There's no doubt he's well off, as he's made around $15 million last season from the NBA. Funny that you mention the support of the Chinese because it's ironic that Kobe and Lebron are more popular there than Yao.

I'm not questioning Yao's wallet as it's fat. I just can't imagine him in a 10 bedroom crib with 5 Lambos parked outside, that's what I meant. He's a very conservative guy, hell he gets mad when his team mates get traded because he thinks it's his fault. I can picture him living like Warren Buffet.

It will be interesting to see how the non-foul call in the Denver game gets spun into games being fixed by refs. I can understand how the Mavs would be pissed, but Melo still had to make the shot to win it. If anything, the bump on Melo made his 3 pointer more difficult since he had to gather the ball back in, compose himself, then get the shot off. If he had missed I wonder if the Mavs would still have argued that a foul was made.

I think it made it easier for mellow.. he had time to recoup and took a shot with a defender who stopped defending.
