Well the test are what they are...starts at 35 mph and they keep testing up to 50 mph until it rolls over. The model X didn’t roll at the test of 50 mph. Apples to apples test, it didn’t rollover.

I agree any car, SUV, truck could rollover at excessive speeds, but the Model X has less of a chance given the test results.

yea, no. it is definitely not SOP. It's a single car crash with no property damage liability and no fatalities. Celebrity is involved, that's the only reason for doing this.

I used to live a block away from there. Her must’ve been speeding a lot, esp going downhill, for the car to lose control like that. Also must’ve had a green light as there’s a light near there too. I’ve driven that part like a million times. Very odd that they now say it’s such a dangerous road. It’s not a pedestrian friendly piece of road as it’s all uphill/downhill and cars do travel quite fast, but like I said here must’ve been going really fast and was totally distracted. A little bit down the road from there, there is also a huge runoff section for big trucks. Crazy!!

It was a loaner car for a tournament, I think. And isn't Woods a spokesman for Hyundai/Genesis?

Like above stated, it was courtesy car from the tourney the week before. every week the players get courtesy cars. He doesn't have a house/car here so he prob was using that ride during the duration of his stay.

The brand's biggest problem now may be that the GV80 is responsible for so much of the brand's current success. At Shawn Treadway's dealership, when customers come in for a GV80 but aren't willing to wait, they're more likely to shift to a Hyundai Palisade than another Genesis, the rest of which are sedans. Benson estimated that 90 percent of his customers were looking for a GV80, and even the availability of all-wheel drive doesn't tempt buyers in his snowy market to the brand's sedans. But if the launch this summer of the compact crossover GV70 goes as planned, the GV80 won't have to shoulder the burden alone for long.

Last thing I read was there was possible evidence of him falling asleep behind the wheel, but honestly I haven't bothered to check since.
