Weird. I would simply punch them in the face. Crazy that people would ask that. I think my stock response to "Why don't you have kids?" would be "Because we know how to use birth control."
Literally - LOL'd in my meeting.....

True story - I have a distant relative with 13 fuq'n children!!!!!!

They range in age from 3 - 25....

Seeing a lot of comments about not having kids and that's fine I'm not judging because they're a pain in the ass. My wife is younger than me so we waited and had a lot of fun before we had kids. I was 37 when my first arrived. I was in the same boat as some of the others in here about not wanting kids. But after a while things get old. The news is the same old shit. There are only so many places to travel. Kids add a lot of newness and freshness. Just watching how they perceive the world. Its very grounding. How vulnerable they are, but yet how smart and independent they can be. And how completely oblivious they are to some of the petty shit that we think are problems. They're perspective can be really refreshing. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

That didn't even cross my mind. It's common to not have children in the Northeast, so I never ask people why they don't have kids. The problem is you live in a state where people also ask "What church do you go to?" the first time they meet you (unless you are in Raleigh-Durham).

Twixboy.....

What church do you go to...?
What was your mothers last name...?
How many kids do you have...?

It's almost expected to procreate in the South....BIG families are the norm.

That's why Southern Baptists are prohibited from dancing. It takes time away from fucking.

Edit: Related joke. Why don't Southern Baptists have sex standing up? They are afraid someone will think they are dancing.

You're male, right? No limit except the quality goes down as you get older and contribute to the possibility of birth defects. If you're female 35 is the proverbial cliff, but many women have perfectly fine children older than 35.

That makes sense. I'll continue to stay away from the older women, in that case.

God, I get pounded by this question and the "Why haven't you married her yet?\When are you gonna marry her?" questions all the time and think that last part of your post every single time.

It's almost like Latin American families. Most of my girlfriends have been Hispanic and that literally drives their lives. Children, marriage, drama, etc. Annoying AF.

On the other hand, though, these types of people's (not just Hispanics) lives continually and constantly justify my own life choices so it's good to have them around.
