C6 LS3 Grand Sport and Camaro SS....

Both with LT headers, full exhaust, intake and tune.... Two beast warriors that I 'play' around with all the time. Both very fast, excellent sounding cars, that yes, handle damn well too, even the big bulky camaro.

Oh, and the Lambo and Ford GT from time to time

If you are a sports car enthusiast and had the pleasure of driving/owning a Z06, there is no looking back, unless you win the lotto and go to the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo., etc. and even then you are only buying prestige and higher quality of materials, not really much (if any) performance increases.

While I havent driven Corvette properly for an extended period...it is attractive because it seems like such a "fun" car...as opposed to bmw which is such a "clinical" car...so poised and balanced but lacks that fun factor.

That loud big V-8 seems tempting...and if handling is half decent, its worth buying one used; I wouldn't pay for one new.

The beauty of the vette seems to be its nice loud engine....great torque everywhere, not just up high...the broad low look, and the raw feelin gof power

would seriously consider this at some point...

My problem with Porsche is that its not loud....and mean...for that you need Ferrari, or AM...which are a tad pricey. Porsche boxer six is not loud enough with its six cylinders. Only GT3 sounds good. Turbo is so muffled for the speed.

BMW is an all-rouder...they have never excelled at pure sports cars and don't really have any; even the fabled M3 and M5....are all round sedans...even the coupe are practical.

BMW is an all-rounder, its not going to excel in any one area like Porsche, Ferrari, or even Corvette. Nor will they excel at pure luxury and fine ride like Lexus does.

Its a practical car.

This is a ressurected thread so I may have already commented on it but for the fanboys who don't really understand how leafsprings are used in Vettes. They need to read the following:

i think majority of people who don't like the c6 z06 is because of interior quality, chevy badge, and not as refined as porche or bmw.

I love it because the z06 has more than enough power for me in the next 10 years and steering wheel/seats can easily be fixed. black c6 z06 is currently under consideration. z06 widebody is perfect.

not feeling the narrower body of the regular c6 however.

I guess Chevy designers have minds of a 11 year old. Are you jealous of the ZR1 looks? Wishing you would've gotten a ZR1 instead of your base C6?

No it doesnt look exactly the same. The hood is very obviously different, and maybe other things, hard to tell from the very dark pics.
For the record, Im not fond of the stock ZR1 'plexi' hood either or the side gills.

Of course I wish I had the ZR1. I would put up with these things I dont care for to get the whole package.
Im quite happy with my Z51 though. S/C'd and within 20hp or so of the ZR!. Im not too sad I dont own one.

i was talking about a stock c6 though. body kit is super hot, but part alone is like 25 k + 10k labor or maybe more. That is almost the price of a 2006 z06.
