I (we) raised a son and daughter and they mean more to me than anything else in this world. My daughter, who is now 40, has become the best friend I could ever hope for. My son (34) moved out of state, and sadly we are not close, but he will always be very important to me. |

I was in the Air Force straight out of High School for 6 years. I thought I was going to retire, but I got jaded with Government Politics. Now I'm a Respiratory Therapist working in the NICU who is jaded off Hospital Politics. |

Hopsital was always politics, and now with all the Covid money they recieved, it's even worse. At least mine is. Large system in South FL... I'd love to see how much the CEO's and CFO's pocketed in the last two years. |

The responses from those in the medical field indicate to me that health care in the USA is really messed up. I don't know what will fix it -- and a fuller discussion would probably belong in a political forum, which is taboo here -- but it needs fixing!

I have a lot of stories from where I'm at that would make you feel even worse about US healthcare. Luckily, most of the people and companies I encounter truly want to improve the system and outcomes and for the good of patients, not for profit.

We were close when he was younger. When he became a teenager he started caring more about his personal life with his friends and less about his family, which is pretty normal for a teenager.
My daughter was the same way, but she came back to me when she got a little older. He never did. Things could change but it is unlikely considering he is out of state now. It is what it is. I will always love him and be there for him when he needs me. |

He's likely waiting on you to reach out to him. But in a friend way not a father way. That's gonna be challenging but fruitful. Sorta like a reset button.

Yes, have done that many times and will continue to. One thing I've learned is you never give up on your kids. Always have hope and keep on trying.

Retired for 5 years and loving it.
Career was in banking, founding a couple of tech companies and a business consulting firm I ran for 25 years, and angel investor. I loved working when I was working. I really love being retired now that I'm really retired. It was hard letting go and it took a few year to back out of it completely. Best of all, no regrets. It was a good run. Now I get to watch my kids thrive in their careers while I go on vacation! |

I'm an uneducated Union worker. I have worked for H-D Motor Company for 28 years. I will be doing 30 years and out. It's hard to believe how time has flown.

I think my uncle loved it as well. My other uncle (my dads got 3 brothers) was also in the service and ended up becoming a judge out in Arizona, which was pretty cool. Now he lives in Colorado somewhere.
