I have a body builder friend of mine who carries one of those. He just carries it on his shoulder (like a purse) since all of his wardrobe consists of elastic waist gym shorts and muscle shirts.

I just can't get on board with carrying off body. (purse, fanny pack, briefcase, etc...)

i've got a thin very concealable fanny pack, i've used it for the gym, and running/cycling, mostly to avoid leaving a gun unattended in my car or a locker. The pack is pretty comfy, but not for every day

I carry an oakley extractor pack when I carry off body. Not ideal but once in a while use it.

I'm the same way now.

I used to leave a gun in my car and carry one in my briefcase since one of the two was always where ever i was. Except.... my briefcase was in my office when i was: at lunch, on an appointment, in a meeting, in another office, in the restroom, etc.... My car was never in the same room as i was, vulnerable to theft much of the day. All it took was leaving my pistol in my car when dropping it off at BMW for service to realize what a bone head move keeping it in the car is.

Ever since then, i'm strongly against carrying when it's not on your person. If you're wearing the fancy pack, no issue, but my friend NEVER had the pack attached to him. He'd place it on the front passenger seat of his car, stop at a convince store to get a drink while leaving his windows down. Leave it on the floor at the gym when he went to the bathroom or super setting, etc... Too many opportunities for one to inadvertently introduce another gun to the criminal element who can't legally buy one.

I'm now the same way with a home safe. I used to just have a pile of weapons in the corner of the bedroom, under the bed, in the closet, etc... Now it's all locked tight and bolted to the floor.

Just a fan of responsible gun ownership after some realizations.

I honestly just keep mine in iwb, backpack side compartment, or glove box. Other than that sits next to me at home and next to the bed.

My Glock basically lives in my glove box. I've forgotten it many times when I've dropped my car off for service. Thankfully, it was still there every time.

Irresponsible! Worst I've ever done is leave a loaded mag under my pillow at hotel one time and the cleaning people called me with some "questions"

This.

A good carry belt is to conceal carry as a footer foundation is to a block home. Don't underestimate a good belt. Almost all of us did at one point and learned the lesson some years later.

Ares gear. Aegis Enhanced is a fantastic carry belt. http://www.aresgear.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=455

I actually have one that i grew out of if you're interested and the right size.

But for IWB only, the standard Aegis belt is awesome. http://www.aresgear.com/index.php?ma...index&cPath=99
I'm a 36 waist in jeans. A large according to that site. What size belt do you got?

I think I'm going to go with a leather belt. It'll work better for the job.

i'm sure is good, i have a couple of crossbreed leather belts, they are very good, but don't bother with the velcro on the inside, i ended up tearing it off (you can use it for mag pouches and such)
