It was Windows XP, and that photo was taken only about an hour from here up in Sonoma County. There are some things I will miss about living here for sure.

I'm doing my farewell trip through wine country next weekend, picking up my last wine club allocations

On the flip side, six weeks from today I'm retired!

It's next door, back in the 60's, when I was a kid we use to go to Old Orchard Beach for summer vacations.

As the cars and the roads got better it was further South; Virginia Beach, Kitty Hawk and finally Fort Lauderdale.

Happy and safe moving

P.S.: When we are back to normal... You need to do a photo shoot tour to Nova Scotia including Cape Breton. Its only a 3.5 hours ferry trip from Bar Harbour to Yarmouth.

What wineries you hitting up? Maybe I'll swing by and meet up with you. I live in Santa Rosa and if its nice enough I'll be wanting to hit the streets to take some photos anyway. Let me know

That sounds fun, but unfortunately I am only going to have enough time to swing by each and pick up my shipments, not to stop and enjoy a taste and some picture taking.

I just have too much going on with selling my current home, packing things and getting ready for a cross country move with two middle aged cats in tow.

I am a member at Bella, Cast, Yoakim Bridge, and Kokomo, all in the Dry Creek region near Healdsburg. Sadly, not being employed after April I am going to have to curtail these memberships as I don't want to be paying for all that wine getting shipped across country. So I am stocking up one last time and saying goodbye to my friends, especially Westdale, the Kokomo winery dog!

I understand. Yeah Kokomo is a great spot! So is Papapietro Perry if you are a fan of Pinot. I spent a LOT of time in Dry Creek when I was giving wine tours so I know the area well. If things change and you think you might have a little more time let me know!

Itsed65 I can attest to the Nova Scotia tour. Being only about 360 miles long with nearly 8300 miles of coastline there is no end to the bays and inlets around the province to keep any photographer happy. We also have the highest tides in the world with a range of over 50ft. Here are a couple little teasers shots I took last fall on Cape Breton Island.

More like the backyard cat. He doesn't roam far from our property. Almost 10 years now.

But you'll be close enough to the Niagara ice wine area to drive there. Some great wines. And you're even closer to Montreal and Quebec City. I don't think access to wine will be an issue. :-)

We have a similar situation, except we have several "yard cats." They keep us anchored here.

One of our favourite destination; Niagara On The Lake.

Fantastic wines variety and if you volunteer to pick up frozen grape when they make the Ice Wine, it will be the most inexpensive Ice Wine you will ever drink...

Just got my wife an X5 45e. I came to Bimmerpost to get some info about the car from posters. Then I find the Snapshot Thread with all these great and fun photos. @584 pages, it's gonna take some time to view. Awesome everyone!! I've added one. Are there rules that go along with 1 photo per post? TIA....LA Light with Catalina Island on left side of photo

I assume you are talking about the Niagara Falls area?
The Central NY Finger Lakes area has some great wine now. They have moved on from their "Manischewitz" days.
The Finger Lakes are extremely nice, and we found the local folks to be more friendly than the salty New Englanders...(ducking).
