I was just looking at my personal email this morning, and see a new binder email from our insurance company. We apparently purchased a new vehicle last night.....

New intake for the mustang. The EFI project is tedious but I'm getting close.

One of my keys to a happy marriage is letting my DW buy any car that she wants...as long as I don't have to pay for it. I know that she was going out to test-drive something after work yesterday, and saw the updated insurance emails this morning. Since she apparently wants to do a big reveal for her choice, I didn't look at the emails so that I can be surprised when she brings it home most likely after work today.
When I was leaving home for work (after her) this morning, I told OCD psycho dog that he better enjoy his remaining bag of premium dog food because it'll probably be store-brand from now on if she bought something expensive.....

I’m going to need to trust it to keep weight off my foot temporarily.

A little more fun than Rick's recent purchase... My watch addiction is hard to kick!

Tear in plantar fascia. Had plantar fasciitis, got a shot, did a bunch of stretches and then walked a lot more than I should have (all three of which probably contributed to the tear). This goes back to Memorial Day-ish. Podiatrist thought swelling in foot was due to a vein deficiency. Took forever to get appt with vascular doctor around travel schedule. Not vascular-related (which is good). Back to podiatrist. Finally got MRI, which identified the tear.
It's only been 2 days since I got the boot and swelling is already significantly less, so hopeful this isn't more than a month or so of wearing it.

We are recent empty-nesters, and the kid was given a bunch of kitchen item *I* depend upon. Went to season a steak, no salt/pepper grinders. Found some nice Acai wood ones for about $20.
Went to make rice the same meal, guess what was missing? Zojurushi 10-qt on the way, should be here tomorrow. While browsing, since there wasn't a decent-sized pan to make an omelet, I found these little Japanese-inspired pans to make the tomago, so I got a set in cast iron. Includes a wooden "spatula" just the width of the pan, and a little serving platform. Seasoning the pan first.
