Golly I've lost so much money because of csco and SLV. Thinking of buying more csco at it's current price and sell at $17.20. Also I'm looking at AAPL, I missed my chance with GOOG I think, it's up $11.20 today.

Will SLV ever reach $40? At least $36/8 by July? The US hit its debt limit yesterday and Geitners predictions of the end of the world if the debt ceiling isn't raised didn't come true. It hit the $14.3 trillion limit and the markets are pretty flat.

Ouch.. Silver is quite volatile these days. When something is volatile it is better to only enter in very small positions especially if you are buying and selling call or put options. Short term Silver has quite a bit of selling pressure on it and because of this we see big swings up and down. If you are on the wrong side of the swing you get wiped out with call or put options. If you are not sure it is best to stay out,buy very little calls or puts or just buy shares that you can afford to go long on in the event it drops. In the long run Silver will for sure climb but short term it has been under pressure. |

I'm thinking Apple,NVDA and OXY should bounce short term. SLV may touch $37-38 before expirations but they also may not because of all the $25-27 puts that I saw clear for SLV. I reckon oil prices will start to climb again and the USD may start to weaken again after the last few days/week of gains.
I like Costco and think they may see some gains. Earnings from Costco should be good and should not disappoint. |

Short 200 shares of LNKD...at $85, the street is valuing a company with less than 15m in revenue at ~8.5 BILLION, more than Textron, Clorox, etc...

I got stopped out at 105.
That didn't work out the way I'd hoped. I'm tempted to get back in with 50 shares if it touches 125 or so and just see where it goes.

I use Lightspeed. I had to call to short the shares, as they were "unavailable" on the electronic platform... This environment feels really similar to the tech bubble in the late 90's and early 00's

Now why the hell would SLV go down when the markets are bad? DOWJ is down 90 now because of Europe and so is everything including precious metals. Aren't they supposed to hedge us against these markets???

Long term sure, short term it is hard to say because if Soros or Carlos have more to unload we could see another dip. Provided no more manipulation or big boys selling takes place Silver should start to climb back. I hope we see some gains today to add to yesterday's gains. Asia managed to hold and add some more today. |

I went into a long position on GLD while SLV was extremely volatile. Slow and steady I guess. Funny, but years ago nobody would have said GLD would be a steady position to be in. :P

Dang NFLX and SIRI. I could've made over $8k this week if I had the money to buy them last week, which I wanted, but instead couldn't pass up the huge AAPL dip. Now I'm sitting at a $500 profit instead of the several thousand that could've been made.
