I'll take a stab a it regardless. I see some type of palm trees and a port in the distance. It's probably south of the US. Maybe on the Mexican pacific Coast. If not, you'll 'correct me and I'll go to bed much wiser.
You are too funny. Me correcting you is like Bill Mikkelson correcting Wayne Gretzky.

The hint in this photo only helps if you are familiar with California. That twin peak mountain the background is Mount Diablo. It's about 30 miles east of San Francisco. Mount Diablo is interesting because it's much taller than anything else around it, so it stands out as you can see in the photo. Because if it's prominence, it was used as the basis for surveying of California and Nevada back in the day.

I took the photo this morning while at a car show in Benicia, CA. The waterway is called the Carquinez Straight, which is the path that snow melt takes from the Sierra through the Delta to get to the Pacific Ocean via San Francisco Bay.

Another fun fact: the little town of Benicia was the capital of California back in the mid-1800s.

LJ, please rest easy tonight as you ponder this new information.

Here are a couple of photos: One looking westbound on Carquinez Strait toward San Francisco Bay. The others are random shots at a local car show held in Benicia each April.

Detroit Riprap method using old cars to control erosion. Used on many rivers. Possibly Big Horn River in Montana.

Nice Googling, but no. You'll have to scroll down a bit more.

All of these cars had the running gear removed. They are just bodies from what I recall.

We use to go there on Dirt Bikes and play who can get to closest of the Ocean without falling in...

Sadly my last visit was trying to find the Black Box (actually Orange) of Swissair Flight 111 back in 1998

When I rode there, it was a real zoo... Dozens of tour buses and a gazillion tourists all over the place. I parked at the entrance of the village and planned on having lunch but not planning on waiting in line for ever. At least, the Hwy 333 loop is a great riding road. Managed to pick-up fries and fried clams at a roadside stop.
