Just added this one to the collection. 1984 R100R Last Edition one of 250 made. All original 21,000 miles. I bought it from the second owner who had never ridden it in his three-years of ownership. Luckily he had a big garage! This makes eight BMWs now. May be selling one to keep those spousal promises.

Took a short ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway on Tuesday. Hit a pop-up thunder storm. Oh what fun it is to ride!

Riding the Tail of the Dragon last November-- it was *cold*.

That was a fair way to go Solo from Denver.

It ended up taking me 7 weeks and 9200 miles. I rode through 20 states and I think something like 35 museums, rides, historical sites, etc. Max temp was over 100, min temp was well below freezing-- and there was sleet and snow.

Just inherited my late great uncles 2006 Stratoliner. I've only ever ridden sportbikes, so this is a "big" change. Seems to run and ride good for the 3 miles I test rode it last night, but this winter I need to give it a good once over.

I do need to get rid of some of this chrome though... not a fan of chrome.

I wouldn't get rid of the chrome and keep it as a tribute to my great uncle. However, if it was my only bike to be ridden regularly, then I'd make it reflect my personal preferences. On a note of safety, you'll want to replace those tires if they're six years or older.

Here are some of my bikes. I raced at the club level and was lucky enough to collect some hardware in the expert classes. Still ride bikes every day! These are some of my dirtbikes (SXF 450/YX250FX), my street bike (Tuono Factory), and my race bike (11 R6).

This was my wife's first mini bike, purchased new by her father in 1971. Restored by me as a Xmas present a few years ago. It now resides on a stand in our den and is taken out on special occasions.

yeah I'm not sure what I think of it yet. I really not comfortable on it, and by comfortable I mean seated position. It doesn't take long and my thighs and groin are in pain. Not a sore muscles type of pain, but like a nerve kind of pain. I think it's its a combination of legs out front but with no real support and too short for the controls without sitting damn near on the tank. Theres a seat some guys have recommended for folks 5' 10" and shorter.

I had that same problem with my Honda Valkyrie Interstate. I went to Corbin for their Valkyrie seat, which made a huge difference in comfort. 25 years later I'm still loving the comfort.

I have to say, if your wife likes having a motorbike on a stand inside the den, man you married RIGHT!

I brought my 1990 CBR 1000 Hurricane in the house one winter long ago to give it a good cleaning and tune up. I put in the back room (that was under reconstruction). My wife (GF at the time) did not like the concept whatsoever.
