True, but if we spent (and I mean my country too) 10% of the budgeted money for militaries towards education of all the people in the world, we would turn this planet around faster than we all can say war.

We won't get rid of terrorists or famine before we give people real options to improve their lives. Despair is the best way to insure we and our kids are reading shitty news all the time.
