the end of an era

The Seattle Alaskan Way Viaduct is being torn down as of last night.
The picture was taken looking through a window in a construction wall during renovation of the Pike Place Market. In the distance, Century Link and Safeco Fields, and Mt. Rainier.

Thanks Dave! Purely a chance shot. I had pulled out of Porter Creek Winery, and was looking at the wine map trying to find a new place to checkout and grabbed this shot out of my passenger window. Porter Creek is on Westside Rd, along the Russian River. Great Pinots!

That looks great. Do the AF functions, like "Lock-on" work with that setup?

I haven't tried that yet. I believe I was in wide for this shot and it was tracking the goose that was landing, and held it all the way down. I know it works in zone and wide for sure. MC-11 that is. It is a bit of a beast with both the TC and adapter mounted, feels like I am holding a rifle.

Aaand, they just announced a firmware update to bring Animal-eye AF to the A9 this summer. Can't wait to try that one out!

I was disappointed that it didn't include a profile for deer and elk. I think that it does include canines. That's all per pre-release chatter. Do you have a link to the release?

Making eye-detect the default, instead of having to assign it to a button, is something they should have done from the start. Can't wait to see how it works on deer and coyote.
