Yes it's a sad song the girl group did in their own way.
Of course a motorcycle gang leader in reality would be more tougher in that respect having many girl friends from his own 'patch'.
Later on it would be the exciting time of Mods on scooters who came onto the scene clashing with the Rockers on motorbikes and it's still happening over here sometimes at seaside resorts.

Thank you, it's interesting. I remember Rockers and Mods fighting to death. Seems that addiction to motor biking still isn't enough for solidarity.
