I’d rather not pay for it either, but I can’t find anyone willing to give it to me for free.

No, it's maybe worth it at msrp of $59.

Had a few good bottles last night, somehow missing a picture of the Good Times Cigar Blend but that might have been my favorite one!

I have never heard of it before a friend asked to help find a bottle and finding it very hard to get at reasonable prices anywhere, it must be just a pretty bottle then.

It's one of those bottles that for some reason (some famous person or magazine probably said it was good) became super popular overnight and you can no longer find it in store because people are paying obscene money for it.

Now let me preface by saying I'm no connoisseur. I like bourbon and have had many different ones, but I'm not one to say this one taste like tobacco and myrrh and this other one taste like apple pie. They pretty much all taste like alcohol to me, some taste like better alcohol than others.

I've tried blantons a few times at bars since I could never bring myself to pay around $70 when I use to see it in store. I liked it and would probably pick up a bottle for $50-$70 if I saw one. However I sure as shit didn't like it $150 MORE than other stuff I regularly drink. Then again I would probably not spend over $100 on ANY bottle because honestly I probably couldn't appreciate the difference (assuming there is really any).

It is a pretty bottle and has a metal horsey on top. You can collect all of the horseys to spell out Blantons. Marketing game at 100%.

Stopped in Louisville a week ago.
Extortion
It was at Justin's House of Bourbon (secondary market). On Market St.
That last picture is a store pick of Chattanooga 119.5 I snapped up in Franklin TN.

Justins has decent prices on anything without a secondary market, but they definitely price towards the top of secondary just to have the bottles on hand. Their "museum" was worth a stop in by itself!

Good? Better than a normal BH?
The BH dark rye is very light on spice and is drinks more like a wheated whiskey to me. Disappointing if you are in the mood for a rye but the best BH I have tried. Still not something I would likely purchase again.
I agree about the best from BH. I obviously disagree about buying more. It's like an old fashioned without all the fuss. Different strokes.

I only had a brief sip because #drinkalone but initial impression was this is pretty good. BevMo discount put it in my hands for $39.99. Will drink again

Actually very smooth, minimal bite having it neat. Imagine it will make a damn nice Manhattan or Ol Fashion

Yep that's why they stay on the shelf.
However the pics of those prices did help my case explaining to my wife that my stash is worth more than the purchase price

I hadn't noticed those pricetags 'til you said s/t - OMG. Unless it is some kind of numbered edition, I got the same EHT Small Batch last year for $40 (it was in the glass case though - perhaps they just missed that leading 1?). Wonderful, and I'm looking for their single barrel, etc. but not at &100+

Their single barrel will be 80 msrp so 100 would not be absurd for that. It's worth 100.

Barrell Bourbon Barrel pick AJP2

Binnys bev barrel AJP2 Barrell Aerican whiskey finished in Cognac casks was a knockout this weekend. As a general rule I always trust the store picks when I don't know what to pick up and in this instance it paid off. Good stuff!!

Where are the holiday whisky bottles at?

Currently nursing my traveling dram, this 23 yr old Glendronach Single Cask. Very nice, albeit hampered slightly with some sulphur from the sherry cask. Cheers!
