this isn't a stock market related question.. but hopefully maybe one of you can please help me out:
How does one do a cash advance on a credit card? I heard you go to an ATM and take the money out? But I don't remember ever setting a PIN... so how does that work? I have never done a Cash advance and feel the crazy high interest is a waste... but my friend asked me and I didn't have an answer for her... I don't like not having answers to things... and no I didn't Google it . I will in the morning if I don't have an answer here (why didn't I google it? Don't have an answer for you ) And to give my tip, if it's worth anything: NBG (along with other Greek banks) has recently begun dropping due to it's increased risk. However, if they sell their $5 billion holdings... they can help even out. However, the Greek economy is still sinking with no signs of really stopping... So it seems that it's recommended to buy the stock if you are willing to do the risk... but put in puts just in case... I read about this earlier today NBG has made a lot of money for me for a while, I keep selling at 10 cent intervals, sometimes even 5 cent intervals a couple times a day, and it really adds up. Though recently I am down quite a bit from the 50 cent drop it's done... but hopeful :d

I now know why Silver took such a huge dump and how 2 people made a killing on it on the way up and down.
I now think I know who did this trade. Carlos Slim held such a large position and knew that if he and Soros dumped the price of Silver would go down and if he bought puts he would make money on them puts when the price dropped so it was easy for him to make money when they both sold. They made money on the run up and the run down. Shows how easy it is for the rich to make more money and make money regardless of which way Silver goes. A few weeks ago someone had bought 1 million July $25 puts. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...10776920110504 Last edited by stylinexpat; 05-09-2011 at 03:37 AM.. |

I reckon last Friday was a good day to get in on some Oil calls as the last oil drop was a bit over exaggerated. Oil should pop back up again. Silver is doing well so far in futures anr pre-market. In Asia/Europe it managed to gain a it. As long as no big Silver holder takes another dump today in the US Silver should be posed for a rebound. Let's see what happens next. I do worry about the rebound though because of all those Puts at $30 and under.

This is an excellent article that explains the last Silver price crash and how it was brought down by these dirty manipulators.

I'm on a commodities bender still. SLV is doing well today, along with USO.

I'd be more surprised if there wasn't any manipulation. Oil companies got burned last week by manipulation. The individual investor/trader just has to time trades in order to go along for the ride.
Look at oil today. Prices are going up, and the excuse is a weakening dollar. Look at exchange rates with other currencies and the dollar is getting stronger. |

I'm going to sit out on SLV for now. It's too volatile for me even with the little "play" money I use for risky buys.

Do you think SLV will continue its rally tomorrow? I think it will until maybe Wednesday before there's another huge sell-off that'll cause it to fall again. Haha. It sounds like a perfect cycle that's extremely profitable at the right times.
