Is the g15 LCI likely to include a new infotainment screen size?

Let's wait and see.

It can be taken for granted that both a manual and automatic gearbox will be available on the G87 M2. Still offering a manual transmission (despite the lowering take rate) is a unique selling point for BMW M compared to high performance cars sold by Mercedes and Audi.

Also Porsche still taps into the manual gearbox market. Porsche GT boss Andreas Preuninger in 2009: "First, the PDK weighs 66 pounds. Second, PDK does not have a clutch you can control, and if you want to do really big drifts, sometimes you need a clutch." and "The manual gearbox in the GT3 is the best match for the purist." (source: here). And in 2010 he commented: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren’t challenging." (source: here). A couple of years later: the 991.1 GT3 RS was PDK only. On the 992 GT3 (2021) - offering both a manual and PDK gearbox - the PDK gear shifter was designed ...to mimic a manual gear shifter.

That gives 338/339kW for the base G87 M2 and 353/354kW for the G87 M2C/M2P.

That's quite a bump considering that the base F87 M2 (2016) got 370ps, the F87 M2C (2018) 410ps and the F87 M2 CS (2020) 450ps.
It's not a big jump if you consider the S55 F87 M2C as the "baseline" for comparison rather than the N55 M2.

ynguldyn any updates on the M4 CSL numbers (rumoured or otherwise)? After the interview with Markus Flasch, everything is as clear as mud on that front.

The 745ex and M750ex are now designated as having an S58 motor; previously the motor was B58. Is this a recent change?

No, just a late night edit. Just before that I corrected the XM line to say "S68" instead of "S58" (which in the hindsight was a dumb mistake - I literally had the right clue in front of me for months, no underhood pics needed) and then got a short circuit in the brain.

@ynguldyn from what you can see is the "touchscreenless" version of the new idrive 8 dash chip shortage driven or an intentional choice for lower end/decontented models

Yes, it does look like something built for the occasion, and it's not CSL. I said "configured like the CSL".

This puts me in an awkward position as I have put down a substantial deposit for a CSL. In essence though, I'd be looking for the manual transmission more so than the auto CSL (which as you've correctly pointed out is not a CSL)

Do you have any insight as to what changes the M240i might get in the US for MY 2023?

I ordered a 2022 to be my winter car but it has been pushed so many times that I don't think I will even see it this winter and with a brand new G80 about to be in my garage it wouldn't get much use in the summer.

So I am trying to decide if I should just stick to the one I have on order or if I should wait and order a 2023 in time for winter next year.

If M Seats, M Seat belts and maybe a moonroof deletion option might be on the table then I would probably wait. Thanks

One thing that isn't clear to me from reading the top post is the OS the M3/M4 will get between 7/22 and 3/23, can you comment on that and/or clarify the top post?

The M3 touring will get OS8 on launch, that kinda implies to me the M3 will get OS8 then (or more likely in 7/22 with the 3er LCI) as well; but what about the M4 (the 4er will get it in 3/23)? I assume BMW won't let M3 and M4 have different cockpits, so the M4 will get OS8 in 7/22 (or 11/22?) as well?
