Yeah, my 2012 laptop that is my garage machine is frozen in time now. But I hear some folks have found away around the embargo on updates for older machines.

I also had an older Macbook Pro from 2016. My issue was the battery life wasn't cutting it. Old one would not last through an entire 3.5 hour baseball game doing emails and correcting mistaken people on social media across the internet.
So I bought the new 14" Macbook Pro with their M1 chip. OK yeah the thing is fast but honestly I didn't need that. The battery is excellent. I've watched two games using it already and have no doubt I can do a third. Also got a case for it. |

My daily laptop is a 13" MBP with the M1. The difference in weight between it and my 2012 MBP is amazing. And the M1 is so quiet. Never a fan whir even when cranking in Photoshop. Stays much cooler as well.

With Apple's processor naming convention (M1 & M2), they might have a M3 and M4 someday!

Fiskar 32" Titanium Lopper. This thing could probably cut locks. It certainly has no problem with tree branches.

Fiskars are my brand too. Just bought new shears for cutting my roses.
Had the old ones for about 30 years. That's how long they last. |

Picked (pun intended) up this Milwaukee pick set yesterday. I was in Napa to "pick" up another tool that I had ordered in and while waiting for the young lady to bring it out I saw these and they were on sale. My old set has very tiny handles and I'm starting to find them hard to grip. These new ones should be much better. (Image stolen from the web thingy)

Been considering a switch from my SE 2nd Gen to an iPhone 14. Close to the same size, but with that improved camera and 5G. But trading in my SE means I need to get an unlimited data plan even though we rarely even dent our current 8GB shared plan.

I appreciate that, thanks!
She looked a lot sadder when I picked her up. She had been sitting for years neglected. But I've really enjoyed being able to fix her up piece by piece. I'm not mechanically inclined, so I let the professionals do that. But anything cosmetic, interior or exterior, has been a lot of fun fixing/upgrading/replacing. I source the parts on eBay or Rock Auto and try to keep it OEM as much as possible. I would never do this with any of my BMWs, but hard to screw up with an old Chevy. She needs some bodywork to make her 100% perfect, but all in due time. Although I have other cars, this has become my anxiety-free daily. Here is photo from the day I bought her: |

Can't post a pic but these arrived today. Just ordered on Thursday from DTO. Unbelievably cheap 47.50 (normally $189) for the hard floor cleaner and 27.50 (norm $109) for the steam mop / cleaner. I'll use the steam cleaner on the car too. Just got done using both and am thrilled with how well they work! Sale ends in a few hours I think. Sadly I get packages almost weekly from DTO now, the Ryobi stuff is such a good deal when on blow out I can't help myself lol.
