Why wouldn't I buy it? He was asked directly in the post race interview if he really gave up, or if he was just putting out a little gamesmanship. He explained the situation and it seems reasonable enough.

Positive or negative, I'd suggest you watch the original interview if you haven't seen it yet. There really wasn't a lot left to debate after it.

What I mean to say is that I'm skeptical of his interview response to his radio comment. It strikes me as a bit odd that a driver would come on the radio to tell his team "I give up" just because he is out of time and doesn't wish to chase the cars ahead anymore. In other words, I don't buy his explanation .

My theory is that he's trying to put a bit of public pressure on Ferrari. Interestingly, the BBC commentators seemed split on that, too, with Brundle favoring my view and the others favoring yours.

Before the interview, I'm with Martin Brundle and David Coulthard, that Fernando was just bluffing. DC also said some messages could be relayed thru switches and buttons on the steering wheel too.

However after the interview, his "reason" seems legit enough. I'd guess he sent the message to let out frustration. He was a bit upset to stuck behind Massa, even he didn't admit during the post race interview.

On the other hand, Vettel cracks me up!

"I think they will kill me now," Vettel said. "On the radio they initially said 'you didn't get the fastest lap' which obviously isn't true. Then they came back on the radio and said 'idiot, you got it'.

Sebastian Vettel said that he was "stupid" in chasing the fastest lap at the end of the Korean Grand Prix.

Despite Vettel having won 10 races this season and having had the fastest car over one lap in qualifying 12 times, he had only set the fastest lap of the race on one occasion before the grand prix. As a result he pushed hard on the final lap to secure the accolade, even though any accident would have left Red Bull having to wait to seal the constuctor's championship.

After the race Vettel admitted that it was stupid to go for the fastest lap having been told by the team to take it easy, especially as he said the only reward was for his ego.

"I think they will kill me now," Vettel said. "On the radio they initially said 'you didn't get the fastest lap' which obviously isn't true. Then they came back on the radio and said 'idiot, you got it'.

"It's really stupid. I think in other races it doesn't really make sense, but on the last lap I had a good feeling, and yeah, I was pushing a bit harder to get the fastest lap. It's a small thing. It's probably more to do with the ego because there are no points, so it's really stupid from my side, but now I've got one, I'm happy."

I agree.

In the pre-race interview, he explained how there needs to be a gradual change in mentality at Ferrari. He's obviously not happy, but not about to go against his team publicly and start criticizing.

When he made the comment, he may have just meant that he had "given up" on pushing the car 100% in trying to pass MW. Obviously he was still quick, but I think he decided that at that stage, the only way he'd get past is with a mistake up front and it wasn't worth risking going off on the last 2 laps. Perhaps coupled with the frustration from tailing someone essentially the entire race.

I thought it was very important for LH to get through the weekend the way he did. He showed JB-like maturity in the race and it paid off. He needs to finish the season strong to keep his confidence up for the start of next year.

Looks like this may be why Hamilton is being so emo lately.

So, he needs Skype and a webcam, and a private room in the paddock...

I actually thought about this. No way they'd be able to see each other while the X Factor is on.

If this is what's been at him, I don't blame him.

Don't think that I have seen her at a GP all year.

What an opportune time to come out with that article though.

Or maybe he's frustrated because he can't come out of the closet without losing all his fans .

I think it's pretty obvious he's not happy with his team for some reason, but he's the problem, not them. And will have to learn how to deal with his demons if he wants a future in F1. He's a very talented driver, but needs to dial down his aggression IMO.

This is how I've felt all season, but I felt he was very JB-like in Korea in terms of tire management and his driving against MW. I hope he can keep his cool and continue like this through the end of the season.

Just now getting on here to post my pics. I took some 700 of them and quite a few videos that i have to stitch together. Got some of the cars coming out of the pits pre-start and then a nice one of the race start! Our seats were amazing. Right between turns 1 and 2. got some really awesome shots of the pit exit, including the button/rosberg battle, senna overshooting turn on MULTIPLE occasions (not shown during race), rosberg ran out of gas right in front of me, so i got some shots of that. Vettel (nobody really) did any burnouts or donuts though, was a little disappointed.

Unfortunately flickr won't let me upgrade to upload more than 200 at a time, so i'll go home and see what i can do, but for now here's (will edit) what i've got so far...

EDIT #1: it only displays the most recent 200 so all the ones before that i can't get access to. there's so many. lol i'll go through what i've got at home and go from there. i'm still working on getting some up here now though, for a teaser.

EDIT #2: i was messing around with the settings so some are darker/lighter than others. all i had was an old SD800 point n shoot.

Good stuff! Looks like you were in a great spot for the race! That's impressive that you managed to get a picture of Webber's move up the inside of Hamilton.

Also, here's the folder, in correct order, that I have loaded. This is near the middle/end of the race so not a lot of action.

Like I said before I'll get more uploaded when I get home and hopefully I can get ALL of them at once...
