Sir Lewis Hamilton IS a strategic advantage. He opens options that will not exist with other drivers.

and Lewis actually overtook all other podium drivers again in a row.. anyone noticed?

Bottas was purely racing with Lewis..

putting in consecutive fast laps without a breath.. and he made a smart move by yielding at the start.. it was a cheeky move a bit but still under racing terms..

Max said.. Red Bull is behind Merc'.. WRONG..
they re dealing with Lewis' magic now that Bottas cant pull off.. Max is waaaay faster than Bottas at the moment.. RB is not a slower car at all..

Max was pulling away in opening part of the race..
up until now.. RB was slightly ahead we ll see in future races again.. BUT.. Bottas is already nowhere.. and i believe he used his last credit today.. by not letting Lewis past.. well.. he cant compete with Lewis after many years, and not being a team player.. i guess one stuff like this will put Bottas' Merc' career in jeopardy.. 100% wont be a smart move for Bottas if he does..

RB was quite good this weekend.. and yeah having a record of the fastest pitstop ever doesnt guarantee you ll pull perfect pitstop when it really matters.. Max really had a chance this week.. even if it was a cheeky move, he used his chance at the start with some help from extra laid rubber on his side..

even i was telling that RB should have pitted 10-15 laps before ending the race.. eventhough they didnt react when Lewis made his second pitstop..for giving Max to chance to catch up Lewis by fresher and faster soft tires.. and Red Bull blew it.. if it continue going like this for few more races in this season.. and if i d not fully believe RB good in new regs next year.. i d leave RB.. but one thing is sure.. Max's ego wont be boosted nowhere near like in RB in other teams.. so probably considering this.. it was Max' 100th race.. there are much more younger drivers at the grid already.. time is running..

Leclerc.. that young fella again silently put his car to the best place possible.. AGAIN..

Ric is definitely not comfy in the car still.. no way he could be past like this from outside after a long straight.. he needs help urgently!

Alonso's fans and of course Alonso himself is so disappointed by this race.. cause he was beaten again from a teammate that not even in his league.. its tough..

it felt like Mazepin was lapped like 20 times during the race.. always there was a HAAS car to be lapped.. it was annoying..

and lastly.. best overtake was for Perez this race.. he didnt have a perfect weekend but definitely he show how much potential he has inside by that outside overtaking action.. it was one of the best in recent years.. well done Checo!

Mercedes won the race by superior pitstop strategy and the W12 in warp-speed .
MAX showed his amazing racecraft by overtaking HAM in turn-1 , but once again Red Bull screwed it up with the timing of the pitstop strategy .
MAX ran the fastest lap with the softs to reduce the damage .

MAX latest : Over the whole race the Mercedes pace was overall untouchable ...
Useless to say , the Mercedes was faster !

This season isn't over yet , and hopefully Red Bull can catch it up ...

For the first time in I don’t know how long I didn’t even wake up to watch a race. Looks like I didn’t miss much. I doubt that the rest of the season will be any different. I’ll wait until 2022.

What a brilliant race from Hamilton...no one can manage their tyres as well as LH.
Verstappen in particular seems to burn his tyres up faster than most.

Red Bull will be looking to bribe even more Mercedes personnel into joining their team...they don't seem to have the level of talent needed to win races.
Not least a better strategist and a better lead driver.

Who will own today's bumbled VER debacle of a pitstop??

Helmut Marko has clarified why the pit stop of Max Verstappen lasted more than four seconds during the Spanish Grand Prix. According to the Red Bull Racing advisor, there was a misunderstanding between Gianpiero Lambiase and the Limburg driver during the first stint at the Barcelona circuit. After that Marko saw that the RB16B was a lot slower than Mercedes on the mediums.

"Max came in uninvited. But our people reacted fantastically, especially because he came in at the last minute. It was a misunderstanding," Marko told ORF when asked about Verstappen's first pit stop of the race. Lambiase had said over the banking radio that the Dutchman should come in on the next lap. "Verstappen meant this lap, somehow it was misunderstood," he said.

I know what you're saying but I honestly believe it's not through lack of trying, we must remember Russell in the 44 car. Oh it's equal-ish machinery alright just why oh why is he not brought in for tyres in such a way as to make him compatible to challenge for race win and he's just kept hanging on back there in case he's needed.

Is it the same excuses in your firm, they ring in and this and that hurts,with fitness levels and training in F1 it doesn't seem to affect Max.

Max has faster car and doesn't deliver in qualifying.

Max on the grippy side of the track, has his car over the yellow line along with illegal torque management by the Honda engine yielding an astounding get-away to pass Sir Lewis at the end of the 600 meter straight.

Sir Lewis runs in VERs dirty air for the race.

Mercedes throws a blinder and brings in Sir Lewis 20-odd laps from the end.

Sir Lewis runs VER down and leads the final 6 laps and wins the race.

The Verstappen Excuse Train Leaves the station.

These last two races have kinda been a snooze fest, even the early SC happened early and only three cars pitted. Probably will have to wait for Baku for some excitement as I doubt Monaco will provide it.

You guys are delusional if you still think the RB is faster than the MB. MB has improved the package since testing and both championships are now over. VER passed scHAM* on lap one but VER could never shake him. Barring illness, injury, crashes or car failures it is #8 for scHAM*
