What we have here in reality is mutual respect. Trust is earned, not given. Show me you can be a responsible adult, and I'll help you out. Show me you prefer to be negligent off the bat, then I call that preventative measures on my end. Family or not, I'd never shaft anyone. I left someone I trusted with money before I left the state, that I needed him to drop off at the bank and he stole it and hasn't talked to me since. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. |

If you read carefully his cousin was doing well at early point of his life. Now he hit rough patch it doesn't make him any less of a man then any of us here. pretty sure at some point in your life somebody have helped you but again I could be wrong you could be one of the people with Trump money and no need help from cousins. I don't know who you banking with but why would bank let some strangers walk in and deposit money in your account. |

If you read earlier, you'd have a glimpse of what happened in my life. Should you care to go back and read, maybe you'll quit yapping like a Pomeranian. I bank with Wu Tang Financial. |

If he gets little help now and down the road he can maybe sell some of his stuff then he can repay back. |

1. He has things that he can sell that are worth money that will literally mean nothing in the long run of his life right now. He can sell his sports shit for..., money. The gas guzzling FJ cruiser for a...., used Prius. Instantaneous money, that can be used for bills while employment is sought. 2. Get a job. Any job. 3. Stop being a whiny bitch and man up and be a provider, not a charity case because times are rough. Should have thought about that before playing baseball, huh? A few options. |

Axius is right. If his cousin won't help himself why do it for him. If he was truly in need any help would be appreciated even help finding a job or selling his stuff. If he is unwilling to do what is necessary why should nefarious do anything?

i never 'borrow' money to family or friends. i would always assume that if money is out, it's not coming back. i can buy you dinner or buy a gift during special occasions and keeping in mind that there shall be no return in favor, nothing will be coming back.
i probably have done what you did minus the giving him money, i probably would have just bought like gift cards from a grocery store or something. i wouldn't have done so many type of helpings

Well living in the NE (NYC area) and here a guy will shake your hand one minute and pick your pocket the next, so unfortunately you'd go broke with your values here.. Kindness is important but around here you also got to watch your back.

His father runs a legitimate business and is a loan shark on the side. But his restaurant can make some great Peruvian food.

Is he a first cousin? All kidding aside, $135 is not much. I'm sure some people here make that in an hour. It all depends on who he is to you. If he's someone, give him $1,000 and tell him hey that's all I can do for now. If he's a loser, dirtbag, or something like that, even a 2nd cousin, tell him sorry, no dice.

2nd cousin but we were closer when I was younger. However, he needs to sell his car at Carmax for a check on the spot, cash it in, buy cheaper wheels, sell all his sports stuff for something, pay his own insurance, internet, toilet paper, get his license straight and get a job. He is choosing to do it his own way, which is asking for handouts, though he hasn't text me since last week. This guy is 42 IIRC but all his life everything was given to him so it's hard for him to be on his own.
