"The aim of the collaboration..." That's all you need to know, I'd bet very little comes of this.

Your false premise is that people don't want EV's. That's not true. People want EV's just at a different price point. This doesn't mean ALL customers want an EV but there's a chunk of market share which does want an EV and BMW sales numbers point that out.

Unless you live in California… he’s kinda right in that sense. California nowadays you literally can’t afford crap making 100k-120k, so he’s not that far off. (Especially when almost every house is close to a 1 mill )

And you are definitely right about the middle class being destroyed.

He’s trying to say that EV is way ahead of hybrid cars when it comes down to performance or sports cars.

I can confirm BMW EV's are sitting on lots and dealers are desperate to give them away in Vancouver, Canada. I never come across with BMW Canada offer that low lease interest rate (1.99%)

It’s everywhere! Look at Mercedes Benz with their EVs; did you see what crazy deals they were giving on their EVs these past few months?! Looks like the EV world has really slowed down in the sense of sales.

I did live out there. A co-worker got transferred to OH and sold his house for $1.1 mil, and that was in a small town, commuted 45 miles to work. Bought a bigger, nicer house in OH for $300k. And that's why I left, no way was I ever going to own anything but a shack in silicon valley.

Barely half the people in CA own vs 70-80% in some states.

Interesting you are still talking out of your @$&; Come and try to buy a house in CA genius LOLL. Nowadays there is no such thing as middle class, since we have an idiot of a president (which you can relate to) and certain state governments (like dumbass newsom) eff’d that up for us normal folk.

So ya, anything below 150k doesn’t buy you even a decent sized house, but a damn shack.

Meanwhile, my wife got fed up with her EV and shopped it to a few local dealers and the used car manager at Honda said “we honestly don’t want the car so I can’t even give you a number, EV’s don’t sell and I don’t want them on my lot”. If we tried to sell our RAV4 Prime, I would have them falling all over themselves trying to give me their best offer.

Clearly Toyota is doing something wrong here.

In the EV world, yes they are playing catch up as well as many other brands like Mercedes Benz. The only EV car Toyota has is the ugly bZ4X, that’s it! (I wasn’t talking about hybrids dude). Instead of a Toyota, I personally would rather go with a regular ICE Honda, than to any Toyota (no offense).

Again, talking out of your @$&; Do you even own an EV? If so, you would know it costs almost nothing to charge those cars at your house, even at a charging station it costs like nothing (15-25 bucks for a full charge) when comparing to gas. Understand genius?

In my neck of the woods that $300k a year is solidly middle class. Everyone is an engineer at Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Boeing, etc. I have a cheap middle class home that would sell for $750k in a middle class suburb. If I lived in Redmond, Kirkland or Bellevue then my house would be $1.2 million. Because we only had a $340k income, we had to move 30 miles further out.

Look back at your post on page one, for some reason you judge Toyota’s merit in EV strategy based on them contracting BMW to build a gas sports car? Um, ok. I’m not seeing brilliance in that move.

Definitely regional arguments to be made, no disagreement there. But I think BMW’s sales would suffer greatly if no one below $300k family earnings bought them.

Those lease deals reflect the design and not the technology behind them.
Same as Merc. Merc vehicles these days look like Israeli night clubs inside.

Loll very happy for you, good job! 👍

Just because I mentioned how Toyota turns to bmw to build them a sports car you took that as something completely different! Was trying to make a point that they can’t make a proper gas or EV car 😉 (the only tech they know is hybrid ) I mean they do only have ONE EV and it’s absolute garbage. And once again they did turn to bmw for their Supra, so what does that tell you genius.

Kid you have absolutely no brain cells, in fact you’re pretty dumb for taking that as a compliment. Only proves that you are still a virgin with nothing better to do than to TRY to troll people and feel significant about themselves. Do you feel like a big boy now? Feel good about yourself little one? Sounds like someone needs a nap

Lmao youthful energy 😂

True. But didn’t BMW suggest a true M car with hybrid tech a few years back? I keep waiting for that sad announcement.
