Seems like it has been years since a metro Atlanta dealer made the cut

tbh I have visited two most obvious dealerships in Bay Area before I found third one which I ended up going with. Two dealerships I visited first left me with a feeling "you are not welcome here, please leave, we don't have time for you". Of course everything is subjective on customer experience side but I'm glad that I listened to myself.

Before I went to BMW of Fairfax, I tried BMW of Sterling who did not want to work with me. Have never worked with BMW of Alexandria, or Silver Spring. But I know that BMW of Fairfax service center is tops. I always find an available on line appt and their people are user-friendly.

Props to "BMW of Fairfax"! It speaks volumes that they are literally surrounded by several BMW dealerships within 100 miles and they stand alone for the Northern VA, Richmond, VA, and Maryland areas. They're making it do what it do!
Back in the day, my go-to BMW dealer was Passport BMW,...as I have bought about 7 vehicles from them! In fact, it was my first experience of a brand new BMW,...2012 535i Sport! It was fresh off the boat! I was like a kid in a 5 and 10-sent store with $5 in my pocket! Well, there was a changing of the guards at Passport BMW,...and I started dealing with BMW of Alexandria,...then Richmond BMW. I some how migrated to BMW of BMW of Fairfax and bought 3 cars from them. In my quest for a 2020 M340, I hit up BMW of Sterling (...a very LARGE dealership). Lastly, in my quest for a 45e, I migrated to BMW of Catonsville, of which I've bought from them twice in 2 years.

Yep they never make it. I have always had good experiences with Crystal Lake BMW but that’s a hike for most as it’s a far northwest suburb and tiny compared to other dealerships. Will never go to perillo or any major suburb dealers again for various reasons (attitude, shadiness, pricing practices)

Dang, a little surprised that BMW of South Austin isn’t on here as I’ve always had a great experience there, but it looks like competition is tough in Texas!

Supposedly it’s some combination of excellence in “sales, customer experience, operations, service, and parts.” How they rate each of those metrics to determine the top 40 is unknown. I’m not sure the actual dealers know how all of the data is ranked to come up with the final list.
