I just got my vacation assigned for the year and my attempt to "buddy bid" with our best friends worked out (which is a small miracle).

So, the four of us are headed to the Maldives in September to do a week of diving aboard the Emperor Serenity Livaboard dive boat-- we got the last two rooms. The "how to get there" is a little fuzzy yet as we figure we'll let covid (God, I hope) wind down and get serious about travel plans in August.

Right now, best guess is Denver to San Fran to Singapore on UA, then Singapore to Male on Singapore Air. A few days in overwater bungalows to "acclimate", then a week on the boat, and then mosey back towards the States.

The other option is to go from Denver to Frankfurt on UA, then Frankfurt to Male on Lufthansa. But, that would put me right next to the Sinn showroom, and I'm pretty sure my wife is going to avoid that at all costs.

We have matching vacation in February as well, but no stakes in the ground as yet. Thinking a wine/food tour of Chile at the moment.....
R.

I know what you mean. My age is catching up to me. But was extremely surprised my lower back wasn't bothering me on the 44 mile ride back home from the dealership. I guess I'll state the cliche about youth is a state of mind. At least I'm sticking with it as I'm 51, still riding these Medieval torture machines and doing track days.

I have a pair of these coming in another month or so. I have been an audiophile as long as I can remember. When I auditioned this Magico A5, I felt they were made for me. Can't wait to work through my entire library after they arrive.

I am happy to report that they are much easier to remove than I expected. And they are huge and keeps drinks cold for a long time without watering them down!
Super impressed and wish I had them much sooner...

I guess it’s a bad pic. Just 12v through micro USB. I will probably hardwire them at some point. Add it to the list of projects.

I bought one 3 years ago after I had two close calls in a week. But hardwiring it was out of the question in the C300. Now I have a GLC300 and the dashcam is still sitting in the box 3 years later. I really should get it installed and wired.

My 2022 has the “dash cam” but it only works when car is running which is fine if something happens when I’m driving. An incident will trigger the camera to record, or I can activate to capture something I see that doesn’t effect me. I’m sitting on the fence regarding getting one hard wired to capture stuff when parked.

Yeah I thought I lucked out with the cayenne because it has a 12v outlet in the passenger footwell. I took off the trim and ran the cable all hidden and shit just to find out that pos outlet is hot all the time!

For some reason the outlets in the truck are hot all the time also except the one in the rear seat and don’t currently have a long enough cable to run it back there. Could connect it to one of the up-fitter switchers since they serve no purpose right now, but then I would still have to turn it on and off.

Hmmmm… the whole reason I want to hardwire is so that it’s NOT on when ignition is off and drains battery. I know they sell some hardwire kits that are suppose to detect when car voltage drops below a certain level then kill the camera.

I guess I just don’t park in enough public lots to care that much for that.

I love me some Shambala beads. I have necklaces and several bracelets. I bought these to wear as a set: White Turquoise, Tigers Eye and Rhodium.

Pisses me off that its essentially the same camera as the Garmin Catalyst but won't do double duty.
