So I get this email from BMW dealer inviting me to the new M5 & X3 launch. They have a chain of dealerships across the country.
I RSVP for the event a couple weeks out. The evening comes along and I duly head into town looking forward to seeing the new M5.
I get to local dealer. That’s odd , front entrance has chains across. So head down a side street to rear entrance, lights out , nobody home.

I put on my reading classes and peer at phone to check invite ……. Got the right night . Unfortunately wrong city. Event in different city approximately 600 kms away. 9 hour drive according to google maps .. Doh !

That's not just an aging issue. When I was 19 years old, I showed up a month early for a Rush concert that I'd purchased tickets for.
