I have pics of the bikes, though I'll post them up soon. I forget what brand they are but they are mountain bikes from Walmart as we are novice riders, though they do have front and rear shocks. So am I worthy?

We'll see the Andechs monastery for a little food and beer. We'll drive around southern Bavaria/Neuschwanstein and head to Salzburg. I have a friend outside Salzburg, plus the Salzburger Festspiele are on in August, so we'll attend some concerts. I speak German, and I agree Austrian is easy enough (not like Swiss...). Then up through Nurnberg and to Leipzig, Berlin, then up to Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. I haven't been to Berlin in a long time. Was in East and West Berlin in 82, 85, 89, and 90 -- I understand it's changed a bit in the last 25 years! Drop car in Hamburg and fly home from there. A few longer driving days, and several no-driving days (if I were alone, they would ALL be driving days, but my wife doesn't necessarily picture that...) but never more than about 250 miles in a single day.

Saw Jurassic World with my son and his friend yesterday. 3 out of 4 stars.

Saw JW Friday night. Tried to restrain myself at sushi because I was leaving for fishing at 0400. Since we already had movie tickets, the sushi place gave us 15% discount, which I traded for a double jack-rocks.

Movie was enjoyable, wife and I both whispered at the same time that the shark eater was going to emerge in the last scene.

When we got out at about 9:30, niece and husband tracked us down to drink a bottle of sake in the parking lot. I didn't get home until 11:30, and felt like shit when I woke up 2 minutes before the alarm thinking I had missed the boat.

Caught 30+ lb yellowtail, but after about 25 minutes and seeing color, I had to turn the rod over to my brother because my arm/wrist were cramping.

Pfffft, I've done an annual golf outing with my old man for The Rotary Club and they donate the money to charity and all that stuff, and back when I was a mere 18 years old I won the longest drive competition out of everyone there. I think I hit the ball about 300 yards down the center.


Unfortunately, I still have a hard time keeping it in the middle. I enjoy the mental game, drinking beer, running over shit in the golf cart..., fishing is too relaxing for my high energy level.


I enjoy fishing, I just haven't been in a long time. No real reason why, which should be all the more reason to go back out one weekend.
