By default, Torpedo Tube #6, hold Cigarettes and beers.

And you guess it, during a Nato exercise, the Combat Officer accidentally fire #6 instead of #5. Was not very popular for the rest of the outing.

How true.

But, I think we were ready, even yearning for the change. Car keys, part-time
jobs, college and for some, fulfilling military obligations.

Having a car changed everything. I could go hang out with high school friends instead of the neighborhood kids. Sort of killed off street hockey and backyard football games.
