That's what I used to call them too. Another name is pill bugs. "Other common names include slaters, potato bugs, butchy boys, and doodle bugs."
Here's more about them: Armadillidiidae is a family of woodlice, a terrestrial crustacean group in the order Isopoda. Unlike members of some other woodlice families, members of this family can roll into a ball, an ability they share with the outwardly similar but unrelated pill millipedes and other animals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillidiidae |

Remember when hamburger toppings were things like ketchup, mustard, pickles, etc?
And there's this abomination they serve at a local restaurant. Um, no. Just....no.

"Cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke. And change back from your dollar."
I remember those days. When I was a teenager, I could eat a Whopper, large fries, and a large chocolate shake and not gain an ounce. I was skinny as a rail and ate like a horse.

Our town has a McD's right across the street from a burger place called McHugh's. Two decent sized burgers and very large order of fries at McHugh's is about $11. And still the line of cars at the McD's drive-up is endless. Go figure.

We stopped at a McDonalds in the Savannah area on the ride home today. Ordered from a kiosk and food was horrific + grossly overpriced. Definitely not what it once was and probably hasn’t been for a long time.

Got it a few weeks ago and I share your sentiments. Buns were stale, meat was dry, and the fries were cold, and it was way too much for its worth. Agree that it’s not what it used to be. Was a fun and delicious treat at one time; not anymore. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

A few years ago, a local Burger King advertised the Impossible Burger (made without meat and I've heard not bad) and I kept thinking to try it out, but never did. I don't know if they still have it on the menu.

The Impossible Whopper is still on the BK menu. Macca's dropped the McPlant and salads though, due to poor sales.....

It's too bad they dropped the salads. That was my go to when the office wanted Mickey Ds for lunch.
