Honestly watching the video has killed any interest I had in the new Touring version. |

1. The underwhelming engine note is inevitable given EU regs; I hope you folks in the US will benefit from a more throaty iteration. Either way, the chorus even under load is pretty constrained for a V8.
2. Nice stance, imposing overhangs. Maybe one will compensate for the exaggerations of the other; and a de-camo view will be all the more interesting, in terms of revealing how the designers have hidden the bulk with blisters, as everyone is having to do these days. 3. The curving bonnet line over the headlights seems like a purposefully retro nod to those iconic Bangle eyebrows?! A nice homage to the lineage, if you're into that. 4. 'Keeper' suddenly appeared in my F90's HUD.

Calling this a beauty only shows how low design expectations are these days. It’s okay but I’m not motivated to put a deposit down yet. We’ll see!

Cool. I will bet it’ll be 4800lbs or more. If not I’ll eat my hat. looks like it will not be on my radar. If it’s 5000lbs or more and they will call it sport sedan it’ll make them look ridiculous and dumb. 5000 lbs has as much in common with sport as Toyota Sienna with “sport” tuned suspension. Just can’t believe people buy that marketing nonsense.

You guys are right, this prototype version is kangarooing like a mofo. Some traction issues too, which is a big deal for a car with so much power at the wheels. Definitely looking forward to the final farewell of BMW V8 in the S68, I'm aiming for a G06 though.

I’m surprised BMW haven’t produced a Final Edition F90. That would sell like hot cakes.

This thread, and by extension, the entire forum has become a $hit-on-BMW echo chamber. I am guilty but I am going to be better and just enjoy the evolution.
Looking forward to seeing what this car looks and drives like in the flesh. Already made the decision to buy out my F90 lease in April 2024 but wait for the Year 2 model. No desire to put up with the Year 1 gremlins.

Almost anything that doesn't look completely awful can be seen as "beauty" from BMW these days. It's just so depressing how bad most of their new car lineup looks now.

I wonder what the price point will be when released? Currently about a $20k difference between similarly optioned M5 and M8.
I would guess that gap will close considerably. |

Here in Switzerland prices are going crazy. I was yesterday at my dealer (Binelli ZH) and they had a M4 Comp 154k, X5M pre-LCI 190k, XM 250k.. so i guess the M5 touring would be here around 200k.. (prices in swiss francs).
