Twice a day, weather is an absolute shit though, just sick of it. Even on "warm" march day the wind is cutting you in half.

We go to parks too, golf courses etc for walks. I am actually OK, if anything surprised how soft people are, maybe influenced as i am watching WW2 in colour on netflix, FMD now that's fucking difficult living, man, respect to everyone.

YMMV, but in my experience the savings realized by filling up at Costco has been a good bit more than $50. This weekend I filled up from almost empty (19.5 gallons purchased) and saved $.76 per gallon for 93 compared to the Shell station down the street. I probably wouldn't drive way out of my way to save $15 bucks, but the savings is nice. Buying gas at Costco makes much less sense if you have a car that uses 87 octane, IMO. Not nearly enough savings to make it worth it for me.

It's the wait times, I often see the lines 10 to 15 deep.

It's like bottle returns, you get 20c bottle here, as in wine bottle, less for beer and cans etc. So i gotta store the things, load them in my car, unload them, wait in line to drop them off and I get what...... $12? Really? I mean it's the same place you buy beer from so you are already there but still a headache for $12 or so every 2 months? I just recycle them and be done with it, the $12 is not worth it to cart the empty boxes from my basement to my car. People need to tart valuing their time.

I pass Costco on my way home from work every day. I stop in three to four times a week. Their veggies are great. I eat a lot of salad, asparagus, and Brussels Sprouts. They also now sell wild caught Chilean Sea Bass from the UK. You really can’t screw up cooking it. My family likes the raw almonds, and my local store also carries a lot of Keto friendly foods. The gas is anywhere from $0.50 to $0.90 a gal cheaper where I live. It’s a Top Tier gas and I’ve never had a problem using it, even with some high performance exotics I’ve owned in the past.

To sum it up, I buy tires, food, gas, clothes, office supplies, and even rent cars through Costco. I really need to add their stock to my portfolio.

Rents cars from Costco. Now that's something I haven't done. What's the benefit?

4 Roses Small Batch Select, when they have it. 24 packs of Perrier.

Or are we just talking about Kirkland labeled products? If so, peanut butter filled pretzel bites, for sure.

Literally the best Hot Dog in the world (fight me). Although the lack of relish and onions because of covid is one of the smaller annoyances of the pandemic.

The best thing about it is they have kept the same $1.50 price for decades! Love it.

At the Costco near me just outside of Houston if you go on a weekday the lines aren't long at all and sometimes you can walk right up to checkout. Same with getting gas there it's best to enjoy Costco on weekdays when there are fewer people walking around.

But yeah wholesale quantity isn't the reason I shop at Costco. It's because they tend to offer better quality products. I usually prefer organic products and they have one of the best selection of organic products at good prices. Olive oil, whole fresh chicken, coconut water, etc. Just so many organic things all in one place so I fit in well with their customer demographic.

So many of my Costco favorites have been mentioned...except, I think, this one. Kirkland 16"x16" microfibre towels. 36 pack for $18/$19. They're fantastic.

Good point but the difference for me is even bigger ... it's literally $1.40/gallon more for Premium at the Exxon around the corner from me vs. Costco Premium gas

As for the cost of my time, that calculation also works in my favor. Since I am already going to Costco, my extra time there is only 10 minutes because the gas lines move quickly, so saving at least $14 (ten gallon fill up avg) each fill-up is certainly worth the extra 10 minutes for me, no question

To be fair, it does take an extra 10 minutes to drive past the local Exxon to get to Costco. But as you already know with many of us working from home, driving an extra 10 minutes in my M3 ANYWHERE quickly becomes the highlight of my day

Redoing a house right now - 5 faucets, 4 vanities, appliances, flooring, outdoor lights that mount on the house, garbage disposal = Well over $10k right there.
