There's a high percentage of cars with guns..last I heard ~30% in AZ when I lived there. I don't even bother to honk. Just drive defensively, keep my BP low and take some comfort in my CCW'd holstered and accessible .45

Agree with those that say just let it go and put as much distance as possible and as soon as possible. It ain’t worth it to prove some silly point. I had someone cut in front and break check me really hard at around 65 mph for absolutely no reason a couple weeks ago. I just slowed way down and moved to the far right. He slowed and just gave up out of frustration which made me smile. I stay as far away from other cars as possible (especially trucks) and drive very defensively. Honking and trying to prove you’re right just isn’t worth your safety, money and you precious M car.
Wayyyyyy too many careless and dangerous drivers out there and….get a dash cam! |

Meh, amateurs I'm 3 for 3....ok, I hit a raccoon once. Yes, it was alive and it was moving lol (can't believe someone asked me that haha) and in my defence it was pitch dark at highway speeds and I tried to avoid it but it doubled-back like Mike Singletary not wanting me to pass.
Anyway, $2,500 later I got a new M front bumper to make my car more aggressive.

Excerpt from a letter of Feb 21, 1825 of Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Jefferson Smith.
#10 is a small piece of advice about de-escalation (in a conversation): "A Decalogue of Canons for observation in practical life.

Two weeks ago I had a similar situation on a local road with my daughter in the car. For some reason a guy wouldn't let me change lanes. He would speed up, or slow down. He would brake check me and not let me get into the lane I needed too. Instead of flipping him the bird, I blew kisses to him lol. That really set him off. At the next light he got out of his car and approached my car wanting to fight. My daughter was so scared she started screaming. I told her we are safe in our car. I do have a carry permit and did have my weapon. If he would have tried to break my window, I probably would have shot him. But I kept my cool and just smiled. Did I instigate a little by blowing kisses to him lol, sure. But when someone gets out of their car in the middle of the road, you know they are emotionally unstable and it's best to avoid the confrontation. You did the right thing. Glad you were safe.
