Negative . I wouldn't bet on him

MAX was furious . QF2 was great for him . But I really wonder what was wrong with his car in the last 5 min.
Last thing I heard was : Nothing works on the car ?!?!
Can be electronics (not sure yet)

Ferrari performed as expected. This is why Mercedes is such a great team despite the very average W13. Rather than having a performing car you can use each race like Ferrari and Red Bull, it seems like they're having to make relatively big changes each weekend just to be competitive - they're going to be a wild card for the remainder of the season.

As for HAM, DRS issues resulting in having to start behind the 2 ALPINE's - that should be fun to watch early on a track where it is difficult to overtake.

Was not expecting Merc to find that kind of pace on a slightly rough twisty track which has been major weakness all season. Should be an interesting race tomorrow. If the temps come back up it may be very different from today.

I also don't expect him to. But Russel sure prooves his value once again for Mercedes. Getting pole in an average or temperamental car with a team that doesn't understand the car is a very good performance. Especially taking into account that he's only been with the team for 6 months.

Rus will likely DNF. My guess first corner racing incident. Other than that he is not going to have the race pace to win and also don't think he's got it in him to win...he'll blow it somehow or get passed by Max/Lec.

The sheer speed of the Ferrari's will have RUS passed on the first lap at the earliest. But once DRS is enabled, there's is absolutely no way he can defend 1 Ferrari, never mind two.

In order for RUS or even HAM to win, Ferrari would have to Ferrari themselves and RB has some issue with their car where they have no race pace to climb back from P10 and P11 and even if that were to happen, it would still need a huge effort to have the W13 finish ahead McLaren or even Alpine. That's how underperforming the W13 despite the achievements with their car this year.
