Helmut Marko suggested that Verstappen's irritability with inappropriate onboard comments during the Hungarian GP, was related to Verstappen's late-night sim racing activities (on Saturday night, Verstappen replaced an unavailable Team Redline team mate and with his 'burning the midnight oil' stint he contributed to winning the iRacing 24 Hours of Spa). Marko stated to have agreed that Verstappen would no longer sim race that late in the future (I guess he meant during the nights preceeding qualies, Sprint or GP).

RB 20 is down as the favourite to win here.

I can totally see RB winning this one and having one of the biggest collapses ever. It sounds like this track is just favorable for RB, but the upgrades have not had any desired effect. I saw another article recently that RB doesn't really expect any major updates in the future.

RB, and even Max are in danger if these teams continue to upgrade at the rates they are.

At Hungaroring sure. Spa Francorchamps is one of the fastest and the longest track out of all of them at just over 7km and Horner has said that it will be a completely different set up in Belgium with the mistakes made in Hungary with regard to car set up and strat used there not being repeated implying that RBR support team f*ed up big time at the previous race.

Last GP at the Hungaroring showed that the McLarens definately have the fastest car now.
However, I think that at SPA the difference will be less as RB seem to have a very effective DRS, so the RB20 is probably strong at overtaking here. But if it'll be enough?

I expect a return to normalcy for Spa. It should be a relatively straightforward win for Max, despite grid penalties, IF he is patient working his way through the field. The McLarens will be competitive but the RB20 will re-assert the clear dominance we saw at the beginning of the season and at Barcelona.

In theory, the Merc should go well here given its seeming strength in high-speed corners and in cool conditions, but not near well enough to seriously threaten the RB. Perhaps enough to make Perez work a bit and keep McLaren honest.

My hot take: Perez will have a redemption drive, and causes $0 of damage to the car.

But winning this race doesn't really go against what I said. I think Ferrari and Lewis are going to win it as soon as next year, and you're going to see RB struggle for the rest of the season.
