Hockey thread 2016/2017 season.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Ottawa Senators game was one of the best games I have watched this season . I have not seen 4 goalie in one same game at all .
Penguins's Coach Mike Sullivan made a bold decision when he changed the goaltenders and it seemed to work . Murphy played very well and saved a couple of net chances to help his team stay alive in the game
13 goals,4 goal keepers, lots of action , high level of excitement

Philadelphia Flyers are juggernauts , biggest win streak since 2002 , 8 games .Their goaltender Mason has a great success too , 7 wins streak for his credit as well
Schenn was star of the game , his 2nd career hat trick , hats off to him .
Simmonds as usual was involved in ruckus that happened the end of the game

UPDATE :
Those guys are goal tenders not chicken tenders . New York Rangers vs Dallas Stars saw saw why there wasn't as many goals as shoots on the goals suggested otherwise . Blomqvist and Finnish goal keeper of the Dallas Stars were terrific .Blomqvist were once knocked out of the game following an injury yet he came back later and performed none the worse ahead of the game .
Las Angeles Kings are Kings of the over time considering only one loss out of 7 or 8 games in which they were beaten by Vancouver Canucks at that period .

Well Done To John Tortarella, he is first US born to ever reach 500th career wins in NHL , he isn't tortellini but a great coach

Another congrats goes to Bruce Budreau ,he's first evet coach to ever reach 10 win streak 4 times in 3 different teams

Shane Doan--legendary Shark killer. How many games have I seen where he puts in the game winner. For all his skill and heart, the Coyotes could never get a team together around him to really get anywhere.

I watch it as much as I can but my priority is Winter Classics .
I have a question though . We are already in 2017 but this thread title is bearing 2016 , what to do ? Shall we make Forum Moderators Edit it to 2016/2017 or keep talking on a brand new thread for the 2017 season

We're in Phoenix, and sadly this year the Coyotes are doing worse than normal. I had a higher hope after last season, but sadly they are off to a poor start.
Although it is interesting to watch our goalie Smitty getting riled up and fighting quite a bit!

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Detroit Wings , what a game it was . Detroit Wings got the lead in 1st period but in 3rd period things got a shift in Maple Leafs favor and they scored 3 unanswered goals to push the lead by 4-1 .However, Wings showed that they weren't chicken wings but Detroit Wings they bounced back to tie the game 4-4 just by 1.1 secs to go . That's something I have not seen before
Crazy 3rd period , 3-4 period score and that's a game score alone
Besides , one player of both team sent off to the penalty box but they must have forgotten that they kept brawling, takling back and forth and slay of hand gestures in exchange .I must say I liked their way too

That was a game that you shouldn't miss ,if you were a Wings back you could leave the game to not hoping your team would score to tie the game and your friend WhatsApp texted you saying what a game it was assuming you glued on your sofa watching that thrilling game , what your reaction would be when you learnt the happenings in the game ?
Maple Leafs in extra time got the score by 5-4 but that was a game a hockey fan should watch

Washington Capitals vs Toronto Maple Leafs game was also an exciting one. In regulation just 50 shots and 10 goals combined . No goal tenders weren't on vocation However, Maple Leafs failed to maintain their lead ,game went on over time and Caps claimed the win 6-5

That was a hell of a game. Chabot and McAvoy are going to be NHL stars for a long time. I'm with the broadcasters though, playoff hockey games should never end with a shootout. It's a team game and Russia-US should have played until someone won and Canada-US should have played until someone won. That's not taking anything away from the US ... either team was full value for the win and the US deserves it for clawing back from two goals down twice ... I just hate team games ending with individual skills comps (hate it in soccer too but I get that you might not have a gwg for days ... in hockey someone eventually scores).

Colorado Blue Jackets vs New York Rangers was another great game of the season ,4 unanswered goals carried over the win in favor the Metropolitan team final score 5-4 .Rangers scored just less than 30 secs to go to final period to take the lead ending Colorado's record 16 win streaks in NHL .
Congrats on Bruin's goalkeeper another shutout in his credit , good job

Any news on when Quick gets better? I watch the football game instead last night, but as I was going to bed it was 4-4 and I heard 2 more updates on ESPN app. Just didn't want to look until morning

No; Budaj has been pretty good though. I saw some sloppy plays last night and Dallas just seemed quicker. All star game coming up. Wish it wasn't so damn expensive to get a tic.
