That has to be the craziest front brake setup I have ever seen on a bike, nor have I seen a K&N air filter hanging off the engine before.

Well, here in the next few weeks or so, I should be the proud new owner of a 2012 BMW S1000RR... I am leaning towards Bluefire since I haven't seen any around here yet. Too many Motorsport edition or Black Sapphire... Getting it with every option they have. Can't wait!!

Some sick bikes....Want a S1000RR, but waiting till I can buy it cash. The insurance is way to high for full coverage. Always wanted a Ducati so that is also on the list. For now I am happy with my current ride. Got a few upgrades and is plenty fast. This is the only picture I could find on this computer...guess I need to have a current photoshoot for her. Got a question for everyone. Does your gf/wife get on the back? Mine went once and she is scared and doesn't want to go again. I went super slow to make sure she would want to go again. I have to admit the seat is pretty high up and not much for you to sit on. I get jealous though when I see a hot chick on the back of a sportbike.

I would NEVER ride my GF on my bike. Ever! I have a single seat cowl for that very reason. After I heard a story of a horrific crash in Manhattan involving a guy and his GF, I swore I wouldn't even consider it.

I considered the BMW s1000RR but couldn't get past the hideous headlights. I'm not sure what BMW was thinking when they made such an ugly front. I've heard comments like: "It's functionality over looks" and "Everybody will know BMW is coming". Bunch of BS.
So I made a deposit for Ducati Panigale... Will be picking her up in 2 weeks. Beautiful looking bike.

Typical BMW fanboy. To each his own dude. I can't stand the front no matter what they say about it. It's ugly to me and that's all it matters.

I am actually in a market for a 1199 non-s myself so i am pretty far from a fanboi, I just the spread the knowledge about the design of the S1KRR. Nothing else to it. |

can't say I'm surprised by the outcome. Ducati has always been behind performance wise when compared to the Japanese bikes in the past and now it's behind the BMW... can't understand why you would spend 25k on a 1199S when you can get the faster BMW for 17k. Sounds like 2005 all over again when the K5 Gixxer was worlds faster then the 05 999 for much less money.

Plus, MCN is the Car&Driver of Motorcycle reviewers, they always pick the BMW. My plan is to pick up a 2013 1199S/Tricolore in 2015, figure I'll be able to get it for half price and all the "Mk 1 Mod 0" gremlins will be gone. Much like how I bought my 2008 1098S...

^BMW was (don't know about this season) having HUGE issues with traction control and couldn't prevent the tires being eaten up by mid point of the race. Did you notice how Haslam always took lead (or close to it) in the beginning and then fell off? Now i am not saying that BMW will win anything this season but we are doing leaps and bounds better. Checa's team did the right thing about going with a proper electronics set up and it paid dividends in the end
