I really like that watch. The Speedmaster Moon is another Omega I've looked at.

I just recently started getting into watches

My brother gave me his old Baume & Mercier. he says it is a good starter watch. Wanted your opinions on it.

Also looking into a Hublot Classic Fusion Black Magic (attached)

Just tried some out this weekend, and really didn't like some that were so big on my wrist and looked silly. It's funny, brands I thought I would like, now sort of silly gaudy to me (i.e. Brietling) The Chronomat 44 Flying Fish is nice to look at, but just looked much on my wrist. On the otherhand the IWC Engineer, which I thought was too bland before, looked more correct for my wrist and had the right amount of presence.

My wrist splits time with a Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronograph and a Breitling Chrono Evolution. Then for leisure days or golfing, either the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Chronograph or another Tag Link Chronograph.

Looking at a Patek Philippe or IWC next. I'll get a Pam some day...

Yea, I'm liking the Ingenuir line from IWC now. It's pretty clean and looks nice on my wrist.

You might also try on the Glashutte Original Sport Evo, especially on a bracelet, it's one of the best out there. The Cal 39 is not as cool as some of their movements, but it's nothing too shabby. I am having a hard time picking between an Ingenieur and a Sport Evo.

Ball ain't a bad choice, but if I'm spending upwards of $3k, I'm going to then just fork over $5k for a brand I "love" like a Pana or something in that range.

I'm far from a "watch guy" but I too decided that I needed a watch...

Since this is my first watch ever, I decided on an Invicta Reserve Bolt Swiss Made Chronograph...

At $370 it was cheap enough for me to take a chance on...I hate jewelry and I hate watches, but I need one for work so I pulled the trigger...

If I develop a watch fetish then I'll have to step my watch game up hahaha !!!

Breitling all the way. This is the watch I wear most of the time, it's the Airwolf Raven, the rubber strap is handy since you don't have to worry about scratching the bracelet.

Look into a Cartier Roadster or Calibre De Cartier.
Go to Watchrecon.com and look into the brands that you prefer. It takes the listings from a lot of the major watch forums and condenses it all into one place. I check it on an almost daily basis.

I was really liking the Ball Spacemaster Orbital....until I tried one on. The case is an inch tall! As cool as the watch was, I couldn't bring myself to wear a watch that sits that high off my wrist. It looked almost disproportional. To each their own, but it wasn't for me.

assuming 20-30% OFF Retail my suggestions are:

U-BOAT Flightdeck Italia MSRP 5600 USD

IWC Schaffhausen Aquatimer Chronograph MSRP 6500 USD

or a Bell & Ross or Oris

Funny, that's the one i wanted to get. Maybe i should try and find a place to try it on first.
