If Merc is sandbagging again by Russell saying it won't be enough then RB can sandbag too by saying it 'could be in trouble'.. A double edged sword may just be awaiting Merc and news in that Hamilton is serious in talking with Ferrari just as Merc are claiming their pods and trick front suspension will make the car go like a rocket.
They were hoping to try it at Imola saying they now know what RB's system is so how much money are they spending from their budget and who is tracking their spending at Fia as much as RB were checked previously.

It looks like they're even bigger.
From no sidepods to the biggest sidepods?

Front suspension is now also more inline with RB's 'anti dive' geometry setup.
It's still not inverted like the RB suspension but most teams say that that in itself isn't a gamechanger, the difference is in the details.
Then again, RB is I think the only one with that inverted setup....and everyone says RB is miles ahead....

Barring mechanical failure/crash this will be another RB weekend. What will be interesting is to see where Alonso can put his car in qualy and what that translates to on race day.

Maybe but Monaco is probably the track where car performance is least of an influence compared to other tracks. And strategy can be really of influence too (ok thats a RB plus.... )
Getting pole is almost key and in that regard LEC has a good track record. Better than his racing results at least

On average considered all tracks together RB has the best chance of winning because they have the best car and arguably the best driver, but I think Monaco is the least sure shot.

And ALO might indeed be a bitch to pass once you're stuck behind him. He knows every trick in the book. At Miami he gave VER an easy pass because he knew that there was no way he could keep him behind him so he chose the scenario that he would loose the least time, but in Monaco every driver thinks: I can keep that guy behind me all race if I want to..

I feel the W14 sidepod looks like Ferrari's than red bull.

Looks like they took some suspension ideas from red bull and combined Ferrari and red bull sidepods


But you can't copy a competitors car and expect it to work exactly the same.


Monaco is the worst place to test a b spec car as well. Next race we will see how the W14 does, Monaco will be an anomaly for everyone I feel.

I think the W14 isn't designed structural to run with sidepods .
The W14 issue was lack of high topspeed because it has too much drag and the sidepods will give it even more drag .

Hopefully the W14 is more competitive with sidepods to fight with ALO .

Yes . The W14 sidepods look bigger . And they look like they are not part of the car.

The RB19 sidepods look very aerodynamic , don't see aerodynamic lines in the W14 sidepods.
The W14 has already too much drag without sidepods .

From what I can see is that the W14 sidepods look like a big rectangular box .
All I can think of , is a 'Luggage suitcase ..
