Oh man I totally forgot about this! I missed it. This is great news getting some more hardware before the startup of the EPL.

I saw that Tuchel replaced Mendy with Kepa in goal. Was Mendy having a tough time? Kepa saved 2 penalties in the OT shootout?!? Wow. I wonder if he's trying to get his starting spot back.

apparently Kepa is the penalty master lol. he did really well in the shootout. Definitely helped increase his value, I heard he may be starting in January when Mendy goes off to the African nations cup.

P.S. Romelu Lukaku expected to be announced today or tomorrow as our new striker, rumor is Tammy Abraham is off to Roma.

Oh wow, is that actually official now with Lukaku?? Chelsea are going to be freakin' deadly if he's in the lineup. God knows we can't depend on Werner to put the ball in the back of the net. Fingers crossed Kepa can perform consistently while Mendy is gone.

Yes, quite a few confirmed news outlets sharing this, official announcement coming, we need an in the box finisher and he is currently on a different level! Manchester united fans are going to be sore over this one!
I think Kepa just needs his confidence back and yesterday was a great example of what he is capable of

If City get Kane, then City and Chelsea surely are the top two in the league. Right now it looks like Chelsea have the advantage.

I don't remember if Lukaku leaves for Africans nations cup or not but it should be a tight race for the title either way.

While this is a Chelsea Champions league thread, looks like Chelsea, City, PSG are the early favorites now for 2021/2022 Champions League. I don't think Bayern Munich will make it to the final and I don't think there is another team that will beat these three this season.

They just need to stay healthy. Can't believe they kick off their first game tomorrow in the EPL. Looking forward to seeing the growth of Kai Havertz.

BTW, am I the only one that can't quite fathom Jack Grealish's value? I haven't seen a ton of him but whenever I have, I didn't see anything special. To now be the most expensive English player in history is mind boggling.

About Jack, well he dribbles well so maybe that is what Pep is looking for. He, Pep, is said to be able to develop the “hidden” talents out of players so we will see what comes out of this.
