My father killed many of the deals teenage me would have loved! One was a 2nd Gen CR-X fully modded with lowering springs etc. Thankfully, after I killed the 320i, we found a MKII VW GTI. Loved that car as well! Actually, I loved all the VW's of the 80's and 90's: Scirocco, Corrado! I would have loved having an MKII Scirocco as well! As far as smiles per mile, the GTI's got it no small part due to my age and all the stupid stuff I did in it at the time.

Back many moons ago, I delivered and setup furniture for Andre Ware of the Detroit Lions. Didnt follow football much when in Michigan but knew of him. Some other players were present...no idea who, but they all had big rings on their hands...maybe Superbowl? Upon arrival, he did not have a hose to fill the waterbed (one of the items I setup), so he asked to borrow ours. Sure, not problem since he said he'd return it with a few free tickets. Well guess what.....didnt even give a tip for the 3hours service call nor did he ever return the hose.

Played (open shooting) hockey once on Lake St.Clair with a Red Wing..but forgot his name now. He was well known. Guess im lucky it wasnt Probert bahaha.

You would be surprised how incredibly cheap some celebrities are. Tyrese Gibson is notoriously cheap and always asks for comps using his celebrity status. He thinks he is owned free shit because he's famous. Personally, I think he is horrible with money and has so many personal issues so he is always about getting that $.

A present best friend used to 'spend time" (I don't know how to phrase it) with Janis Joplin so she would be ready to perform!
She got to see Janis's famous Porsche, but didn't drive it.

Nice on the 2nd Gen CR-X! I had a great friend with one that was heavily massaged. Great rotation on turn-in and super lightweight.

I had a couple of MkIIs and my good friend had a Corrado. I almost ended up in a GTI when we decided to go with the sleeker model.

If I recall correctly, Will Smith give him 5 million to help with his financial challenges and to get him to STFU. He has been very quiet, as of late.

Shockingly... apparently so is Michael Jordan.

A billion dollar athlete that was always #1 in the room, never felt the need to tip and always thought he deserved everything. Last I heard, he's changed since he's made a ton of donations... listen to Chamillionare's (rapper) recount of meeting him.

Non work related famous meeting: I was 8 years old eating at what I think was Yang Chow, one of the more well known restaurants in Los Angeles Chinatown. It's famous for Slippery Shrimp and the walls are full of signed celebrity photos who visited the restaurant. Anyway there is a huge commotion outside in the street and the door opens and in come Michael Jackson and his entourage. The place goes absolutely bananas. This is the 80's at the height of his fame. Everyone gets up and immediately rushes him with napkins and whatnot for autographs screaming and tripping all over themselves. It didn't take long for him to leave after that. I don't think he got his Slippery Shrimp.

Something might rub off on you. That something being MKSixer of course - not me. He's sort of indiscriminate. I love my wife and it's her and only her for me.

As I don't have a wife, you can't compare. And I'm fastidious. Thank-you very much.

Thats pretty cool, I only listed folks I've hung with and knew personally. Have met a bunch of athletes (tons of Capitals, Ovechkin a few times, my son has his 9th goal puck he signed) and Skins etc. I hung and drank beers for 3 hours with Charles Haley, at Champions where I met my wife "drunk in a bar" lol

Thanks!

I also know Shane Churla and Mike Modano. They and all of the Dallas Stars always came to the home of the president of the company I worked for in the early to mid 90s to hang out and party.

I shook hands with the first (and the last) Vice President of Russia (after Soviet Union collapsed) once. Also met US Secretary of State Warren Christopher when he was entering Radisson in Moscow and I was leaving after work.

Cool. I was over in West Springfield. Dave Grohl and I had the same barber apparently for a while. I always missed him by a day (or so I was told).

I use to work at Clear Channel during college. Use to go to all the concerts to take pics to post on the various sites we managed. Met a lot of celebrities back stage, unfortunately I didn't really know who any of them were. I remember one time back stage I was eating at the catering area and struck up a conversation with someone else who was eating there. I later found out he was some famous guy from one of the bands playing. I'm also convinced I got the flu once from being in the room with some famous boy band type singer guy during an interview I was recording. I had heard he wasn't feeling well during the event and shortly after I got sick as a dog.

Only other celebrity encounter I've had is at this taco truck we like going to. Was standing there waiting for our tacos when I see Vanilla Ice walk up (either no one recognized him or at least no one had any kind of response). It seems he was there with some of his crew from when he was shooting that home renovation show he had for a while. Anyways I remember they have a "tent" where you can order your grilled corn and he was standing there waiting for his corn I guess. This older lady walks up to him and tries to order corn from him. He said something along the lines of I don't work here, but I'll take your money if you like.
