It's called the balance of the universe. If a perfect 10 had the IQ of Marie Curie she might be too dangerous to for the universe to handle.

These, rappers usually wearing a cap backwards or sideways cause its a gym, you gotta show off your style.

And male side boob.

That being said the big douchebags and girls keep my motivation up so I'll stick with Gold's for now

I go to Equinox. My gym is always clean, not a lot of grunters, in the early am absolutely nobody hits on eachother. In fact most people get there work out in quick and get out without speaking much. Lots of annoying trainers but otherwise a very pleasant environment to work out in with a lot of great "gym friends" who have been going at the same time with me for 5-10 years so we say hello and will chat quickly but never screw each others work outs up. One big caveat about Equinox: they are VERY worried about being politically correct which has caused some issues. I busted a guy videotaping with his phone in the locker room and when I grabbed the phone he had 64 minutes of running footage (long story how this all played out, it got a bit dramatic). Found out later multiple members had already complained about the dude but Equinox didn't want to offend him so never approached him or suspended him until after I dragged him down the stairs by his shirt collar. We also had a guy with open sores that would bleed on the machines and it took WEEKS to get management to do something about this guy because they were worried it was related to a certain politically sensitive illness and didn't want to start a PR war.
I'm a 24hour Ftiness member, been with them for over 20 years now.

I'm between 2 different super sports in my area (one opened up about 4 months ago)....
Equinox's premium price does allow for bit more order I would think, I had 6 month pass to a local equinox that I utilized, definitely a nice feel, but it felt more spa-ish than a gym, nothing against the facility, members, and staff...perhaps I like what I'm used to....

That's why I put a cage and all of the gear possible in my basement. Less need to deal with people... other than my kids/wife and that's bad enough

Didn't get a chance to read all the pages but I like this thread. One thing I hate the most is on leg day I go to the squat rack and see a guy taking his time curling the bar (and having a hard time doing so). Or when you get the bros coming in and putting a shitload of weight for squats and don't get even close to parallel. Same for the bench where they just go down a few inches before pushing back up.

I hate Gyms posing, posturing, grunting, groaning and that's just the women.
Most of them too much posing and not enough training. I`ll do it myself thanks

There are certain guys that take off their shirt and pose in the mirror every day it seems. Granted they compete but still.

HAHA there was a dude like that at my old gym. He was a powerlifter and would occasionally let er rip during a set of heavy squats. No one ever said anything, probably because the guy was built like a freaking tank.

People with shitty attitude. If I ask "how many sets?" give me an honest answer and don't look at me like you own the damn bench. Some people even have the nerve to say "10 sets!", which is equivalent to fuck off. And no, they don't do 10 sets.

People who complain about noise. Seriously, if you want it to be quiet, go to the library.

Other than that it's funny to look at people load up 3 plates and quarter-squat, load up 2 plates on bench and do that sexy elbow workout. But honestly, doesn't bother me much, their body, their lack of gains.

- People who curl in the squat rack. Why?

- People who stand next to the equipment I'm using and don't ask if they can work in and or how many sets I have left. I am a very friendly person and never mind anyone working in with me and can not seem to imagine why someone wants to stand 5 ft from me staring at me waiting for me to finish my sets.

- 3-5 guys that come in and workout together while flexing in front of the mirror and making a scene. Usually guys that are 17-22ish do this kind of nonsense.

- Guys who talk about "cycling" but in reality they have no idea what a proper cycle consists off.

- Guys who think "cycling" consists of creatine, test boosters, and pro hormones that are sold from shady websites that require a log in. Then they complain about how they never saw any real gains and make stupid claims such as "I was so angry and depressed all the time."

- The 18 year old kid that openly brags about cycling when he can't understand that his body for until around 25 years old is at peak test production naturally. Fails to understand the concept of a proper diet, rest, and training so resorts to cycling.

- People who do their exercise right in front of the dumbbell rack.... Drives me insane.

- Girls who come to the gym with the least amount of clothing on in order to drive their egos up from the attention they get. The proceed to do one set of dumbbell squats in front of 10 guys and then run for 10 minutes and leave.

- Guys who make a scene bench pressing with over 225+, but in reality they are going down an inch or two.

- Seeing a father train his son and failing to address the importance of form > weight. Father proceeds to tell him heavy sets all the time is the only way to grow.

- When people don't understand there are multiple methods to train. Such as strength training and size training.

- When I'm doing rest / pause sets on bench press and a guy proceeds to tell me that the only way to bench press is keeping your chest under tension the whole time and to not go down all the way. I wanted to ask if him he has ever watch powerlifters train....

- Anyone that works out with headphones that are over 20 bucks, especially beats by Dr. Dre. Who in the right mind wants to work out with $200 headphones? Why take the risk of it being damaged? My $5-$10 headphones from Wal-Mart do just fine.

- Why are old men so comfortable with just getting naked and walking around the locker room?

- Personal Trainers that are not in any way fit themselves who spew advice that makes no sense and make their clients do the most idiotic workouts possible.

- When I politely ask someone if I can work in with them and they respond with a death stare.

- When I clean and press, and people proceed to look at me as if I'm crazy.

- With New Years right around the corner the gym gets busy for the next 2-3 months. Then most of the new comers are missing for the rest of the year. I am all for everyone being healthy and exercising but at least stay committed.

- When I am using the bathroom, see a guy go into the stall for a number 2, gets out and doesn't wash his hands, and then proceeds to use the same equipment I do.

I don't see how a half naked bombshell doing squats annoys anyone.

Beats any pre workout I've had hands down.

Lulu Lemon. jk Lulu is awesome.

Curling in the squat rack is my biggest peeve.

I rarely see the masks, but agree they are a waste. They are supposed to increase your red blood cell count, but you're taking in less air, not less oxygen. Your bloodstream just receives it at a slower rate. You will not stimulate additional red blood cell production.

Couldn't stand this douche bag that picked up my belt and threw it out of the squat rack as I was in the middle of reracking the plates. Funny thing is that there was a free rack right next to the rack I was using, could have just went there if he was in such a rush.

Mostly stuff that annoy me are people who walk really close to you during a set and people who don't rerack plates.
