But I'm quite happy with the outcome of the VT game last night! Go Hokies Go! It's been many years since we've played, but it always feels good to beat one of the old rivals in WVU (I do wish we continued playing that series though, it's far far more competitive than anything we have with UVA).

I'm pretty excited about our new QB- he matured and got comfortable as the game went on. As a redshirt freshman hopefully we'll get a few good years out of him. VT trending in a good direction these past two years.

Great opening weekend! Again the SEC is just Alabama. The ACC might now be Clemson's to lose. The big 3 in the BIG10 are legit. It will be interesting to see how USC reacts after a disappointing start.

OKL setup for a locked playoff spot. Dominant victory over OSU, remaining schedule looks favorable.

SC strong victory over Stanford. Darnold looking like a number 1 draft pick. Freshman Stephen Carr is going to be special. Ronald Jones is a beast, best RB duo in college football.

Looking forward to see heisman trophy winner go up against Clemson next weekend.

Agreed. I was there and the atmosphere was very stale. Looked like Sumlin an Co were treating this one like a preseason game and trying to get Mond some more experience throwing the ball. Everyone cheered when Jake came in

I think the Pac-12 this year will be the conference left out of the CFP. The Oklahoma win over Ohio State cemented Big 12's spot. The Big 12 will be determined the last week when Okie State and Sooners play.

huh? This scenario can happen in any conference. Funny that you mentioned this, b/c in the history of the B12 Championship game, this scenario has happened 4-5 times where it knocked the Big 12 out of the BCS championship game:

That's my point. You said that the Big 12's spot in the playoff was cemented, but if the top team loses the championship game they could easily be knocked out. While this could happen in any conference, it is more likely to happen in the Big 12 since their championship game is a rematch of the top 2 teams. Other conferences have divisions, so the disparity between teams in the championship game can be higher (see Clemson vs UNC, Alabama vs Florida, etc)
